«Մեր տղաները հերոսաբար, հմուտ զինվորականի նման կռվեցին, պայքարեցին մեր հայրենիքի, մեր հողի համար։ Այդպես եղավ նաև 2020 թվականին... Բայց ունենք այն, ինչ ունենք հիմա»,-  «Եռաբլուր» զինվորական պանթեոնում լրագրողների հետ զրույցում ասաց Ապրիլյան պատերազմի հերոս Ադամ Սահակյանի մայրը՝ Գայանե Անտոնյանը։

Հիշեցնենք, որ 9 տարի առաջ հենց այսօր օրն էր մեկնարկել Քառօրյա պատերազմը։

«Ապրիլյան պատերազմից  հետո ցավի հետ նաև հպարտություն կար։ Հիմա, ցավոք, ուզում եմ որքան հնարավոր է շուտ մեր հերոս որդիների՝ Ադամի ու նման տղաների կատարած սխարանքներից հետո ունենանք ռեալ սփոփանք։ Ուզում եմ մեր այդ հպարտությունը վերադառնա, մեր որևէ սպայի, զինվորի արյուն  հենց այնպես չի թափվել։

Հաստատ, կգան այդ ժամանակները»։

Սերժանտ Ադամ Սահակյանը 2016թ.-ի ապրիլի 1-ի լույս 2-ի գիշերը, գտնվելով առաջնագծում և լինելով 112-րդ մարտական դիրքի ավագը, գլխավորել է մարտը՝ զինակից ընկերների հետ մարտնչելով թշնամու դեմ և վերջինիս հասցրել զգալի կորուստներ: Ադամի՝ թշնամու դեմ մղած ժամեր տևած պայքարը հնարավորություն է տվել Ջաբրայիլի գնդին տեղակայվել և ամրանալ ռազմաճակատի 2-րդ գծում:

Արդյունքում՝ Ադամն  իր զինակից ընկերներով կոտրելով  թշնամու ողնաշարը՝ կանխել են նրա առաջխաղացումը դեպի երկրի խորքը և տապալել հակառակորդի մշակած՝ կայծակնային պատերազմի միջոցով արագ հաղթանակի հասնելու ծրագիրը:

 Սերժանտ Ադամ Սահակյանը, իր զինակից ընկերների հետ 5 ժամ շարունակ մարտնչելով թշնամու դեմ, հասցնելով նրան զգալի կորուստներ (200-ից ավելի սպանված հատուկջոկատային), ընկել է հերոսի մահով՝ առավոտյան ժամը 8:00-ի սահմաններում։ Ծավալված թեժ ու անհավասար մարտերի ընթացքում դիրքի անձնակազմը մարտնչել է մինչև վերջին փամփուշտն ու ընկել քաջի մահով:

Ադամ Սահակյանը  ԼՂՀ նախագահի հրամանագրով հետմահու պարգևատրվել է «Մարտական ծառայություն» մեդալով, ՀՀ նախագահի հրամանագրով՝  «Արիության» մեդալով»:
