Ինչո՞ւ են տղամարդիկ ձեռքի ճկույթի եղունգը երկարեցնում (լուսանկարներ)

Փորձենք լույս սփռել մի հանելուկի վրա, որը երկար տարիներ հուզել է հազարավորներին, սակայն ոչ բոլորն են համարձակվում այդ մասին հարցնել: 

Շատերը, հատկապես կանայք, երկար ժամանակ չէին հասկանում, թե ինչու են տղամարդիկ երկարեցնում ճկույթի եղունգը:

Հիմա փորձենք լույս սփռել այս հանելուկի վրա:

Եթե հավատանք որոշ պատմական աղբյուրների, առաջիններից մեկը, որոնք սկսեցին երկար եղունգ պահել, արիստոկրատներն էին դեռ 17-րդ դարում: Պատճառը... նամակների ծրարները բացելն էր: Արտաքինի նման յուրահատկությունը ոչ թե այն ժամանակվա նորաձևության մաս էր կազմում, այլ սովորական անհրաժեշտություն էր:

Ավելի հաճախ տղամարդիկ երկարեցնում էին ձախ ձեռքի ճկույթի եղունգը, քանի որ աջով սովորաբար պահում էին փետուրն ու զենքը: 

Գոյություն ունի լեգենդ, որ Ֆրանսիայում տղամարդիկ երկարեցնում էին ճկույթի եղունգը բոլորովին այլ պատճառով: Բանն այն է, որ XVII-XVIII դարերում դուռը ծեծելը վատ դաստիարակության օրինակ էր համարվում, իսկ այն ճկույթով ճանկռելը միանգամայն նորմալ էր համարվում: Փաստորեն, երկար եղունգը անհրաժեշտ ատրիբուտ էր էթիկետի կանոնները պահպանողների համար:

70-ականներին ԱՄՆ-ի փողոցներում հաճախ կարելի էր տեսնել երկար եղունգով դեռահասների: Դրանում ոչ մի զարմանալի բան չկար: Այդ ժամանակ երկրում տարածված էր թմրավաճառությունը, հատկապես կոկաինի օգտագործումը:

Հմուտ պատանիները, որոնք կապվածություն ունեին այդ թմրամիջոցից, հետաքրքիր եղանակ էին հորինել՝ փոշու անհրաժեշտ չափաքանակը որոշում էին եղունգի միջոցով: Այդ մեթոդն այնքան տարածվեց, որ անգամ թմրամոլների շրջանում առաջացավ կոկաինը կշռելու հատուկ չափ, որը հենց այդպես էլ կոչվում էր՝ nail:

Ավելին, անցած դարավերջին ճկույթի եղունգը երկարեցնում էին հանցագործ աշխարհի հետ կապ ունեցող տղամարդիկ: ԽՍՀՄ-ի գաղութներում նման յուրահատկությունը նշանակում էր պատկանելություն հեղինակությանը, քանի որ միայն իրենցից բան ներկայացնող ֆիգուրները կարող էին իրենց թույլ տալ աշխատել «զոնում»՝ աճեցնելով եղունգ ու հոգ տանելով դրա մասին: Դա կարծես նախազգուշացնող միջոց լիներ:

Ի դեպ, երկար եղունգը հաճախ հանդիպում է թղթախաղի «շուլերների» մոտ:

Երկար եղունգի կարելի է հանդիպել հաճախ մեքենավարների օգնականների մոտ, որոնց դա պետք էր գալիս գործի ընթացքում:


Երկար եղունգի կարելի է հանդիպել նաև երաժիշտների, հատկապես կիթառահարների մոտ:

Ասում են, որ անձամբ Ալեքսանդր Պուշկինն է երկար եղունգ ունեցել ձախ ձեռքի ճկույթին: Դա միանգամից նկատել էր Տրոպինինը, երբ գնացել էր նկարելու պոետին: Այս տարիներին եղունգը նշանակում էր պատկանելություն մասոնական օթյակին:
