Հայ գերիների, պատանդների ազատ արձակման հարցը նախևառաջ, ենթադրում է անմիջական դիվանագիտական քաղաքական աշխատանք: Այս մասին, այսօր՝ ապրիլի 10-ին, Բաքվի բանտերում պահվող հայ ռազմագերիների վերաբերյալ պանելային հանդիպում-քննարկմանն ասաց Եվրոպական դատարանում գերիների շահերի պաշտպան Սիրանույշ Սահակյանը:

Նրա խոսքով՝ այդ աշխատանքի ուղղությունն այն պետք է լինի, որ միջազգային կոնվենցիաներով նախատեսված է հակամարտության ակտիվ ավարտից հետո հայրենադարձում:

«Դա պատերազմական հանցագործություն է, ուստի Ադրբեջանը գտնվում է իրավական պարտավորության ներքո՝ առանց որևէ նախապայմանի ապահովելու հայ պատանդների ազատ արձակումը։ Դրա չկատարումը պետք է հանգեցներ Հայաստանի իշխանությունների կողմից պատերազմական հանցագործությունների վերաբերյալ հայտարարություններին, ինչը այն նախապայմանն է, որը պատժամիջոցների կամ այլ մեխանիզմների գործադրման հիմք կծառայեր»,- ասաց նա:

Ըստ Սահակյանի, սակայն, նման մոտեցում տեսանելի չէ, ընդունվում է լռելյայն աշխատելաոճը, ըստ որի, գերիների խնդիրն ինքնուրույնաբար լուծելի չէ Հայաստանի ներգրավվածությամբ, դա ամբողջովին թողնված է Ադրբեջանի հայեցողությանը և երբ քաղաքական սուր հարցադրումները լուծում ստանան, ապա որպես հետևանք մարդասիրական մոտեցում կլինի և ազատ կարձակվեն նաև այդտեղ պահվող հայ պատանդները։

«Մինչդեռ կարծում եմ՝ պետք է ամեն գնով ճնշել Ադրբեջանին, ապահովել ազատ արձակումը, առանց դրա չիրականացնել ցանկացած քննարկում, ինչը կարող է առնչվել քաղաքական հարցերին: Մեր ընկալմամբ խաղաղությունն ու գերիների վերադարձի հարցն ունեն փոխկապակցվածություն: Առանց հայ գերիների վերադարձի, մենք չենք կարող վստահել որևէ խաղաղության»,- ասաց նա:
