Великобритания направила Украине 752 миллиона фунтов стерлингов на покупку средств ПВО и артиллерии

В понедельник Великобритания направила Украине 752 миллиона фунтов стерлингов (990 миллионов долларов) на покупку средств противовоздушной обороны и артиллерии в рамках более широкой международной кредитной программы на сумму 50 миллиардов долларов, обеспеченной замороженными российскими активами, сообщает Reuters.

«Мир меняется на наших глазах из-за глобальной нестабильности, включая российскую агрессию в Украине», - заявила министр финансов Британии Рейчел Ривз, комментируя информацию о предоставлении военной помощи.

«Большая семерка» согласовала общий план предоставления кредита в октябре 2024 года, до того, как избрание Дональда Трампа президентом изменило подход Соединенных Штатов к конфликту, а Ривз и ее украинский коллега Сергей Марченко в марте окончательно согласовали детали вклада Великобритании.

Выплата Украине в понедельник является вторым из трех траншей на общую сумму 2,26 миллиарда фунтов стерлингов. Первый платеж был произведен 6 марта, а заключительная часть будет выплачена в следующем году.

Министр обороны Джон Хили заявил, что Великобритания предоставит Украине поддержку в размере 4,5 миллиарда фунтов стерлингов в этом году и что эти средства пойдут на закупку средств противовоздушной обороны, артиллерии и запасных частей для транспортных средств и другого оборудования.

Другая часть британской помощи включает помощь министерства обороны страны в приобретении радарных систем, противотанковых мин и сотен тысяч беспилотных летательных аппаратов.
