Իսրայելի պաշտպանության նախարար Իսրայել Կացը հայտարարել է, որ հավատարիմ է Իրանին միջուկային զենք ձեռք բերելը կանխելուն մեկ օր անց այն բանից հետո, երբ New York Times-ը հայտնել է, որ ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփը մերժել է իրանական միջուկային օբյեկտներին համատեղ հարվածներ հասցնելու՝ Իսրայելի առաջարկները, գրում է Times of Israel-ը:
«Երբ ես նշանակվեցի պաշտպանության նախարար, ես խոստացա հետապնդել երկու հիմնական նպատակ՝ թույլ չտալ Իրանին միջուկային զենք ձեռք բերել և հաղթել պատերազմում: Իսրայելի պաշտպանության բանակը ներկայումս աշխատում է բոլոր ճակատներում՝ վճռական հաղթանակի հասնելու համար», - ասել է Կացը:
«Վարչապետ Բենիամին Նեթանյահուն և ես, բոլոր կողմերի հետ միասին, հավատարիմ ենք հստակ գծին, որը թույլ չի տա Իրանին միջուկային զենք ձեռք բերել: Մենք թույլ չենք տա ոչնչացման սպառնալիքներ Իսրայել պետության դեմ», - հավելել է նա:
«Սա մեր պատասխանատվությունն ու պատմական խնդիրն է, և մենք ամեն ինչ անելու ենք դրանք իրականացնելու համար»,- հավելել է պաշտպանության նախարարը։
