«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.

news.ru-ն «Հայաստանում ցանկանում են Ռուսաստանի հետ միութենական պետություն ստեղծել» վերնագրով հոդվածում գրում է, որ Հայաստանի մուտքը Ռուսաստանի հետ միութենական պետություն, որը նման է Ռուսաստանի Դաշնության և Բելառուսի կողմից ստեղծված կառույցին, անհրաժեշտ է ճգնաժամը հաղթահարելու և երկրի շարունակական բարգավաճումն ապահովելու համար, news.ru-ին տված իր առաջին հարցազրույցում հայտարարել է Վարդան Ղուկասյանը, որն ապրիլի 19-ին պաշտոնապես ստանձնել է Գյումրու քաղաքապետի պաշտոնը։ Նա նշել է, որ արդեն երկար տարիներ այդ գաղափարի կողմնակիցն է։

Ղուկասյանը հիշեցրել է, թե ինչպես էր ժամանակին՝ 1997-1998 թվականներին, ինքը ակտիվորեն օգնել Հայաստանի կոմունիստական կուսակցությանը, որը հավաքել էր 1,2 միլիոն ստորագրություն՝ ի պաշտպանություն Ռուսաստանի հետ միութենական պետություն ստեղծելու նախաձեռնության։ Նա նշել է, որ այդ գաղափարը, չնայած իր ակնհայտությանը, ունի բազմաթիվ քննադատներ, որոնք հանդես են գալիս երկրի՝ Եվրամիություն մտնելու օգտին, և դա՝ Հայաստանի անկախությունը կորցնելու սպառնալիքի պատճառաբանությամբ։

«Հետաքրքիր իրավիճակ է ստացվում: Երբ ինչ-որ մեկը խոսում է Ռուսաստանի հետ միութենական պետության մասին, նրան մեղադրում են հանրապետության ինքնիշխանության դեմ ոտնձգության մեջ, բայց երբ խոսքը վերաբերում է ԵՄ-ին անդամակցելուն, նման մեղադրանքներ չեն հնչում: Մեր նախաձեռնության քննադատները պարզապես տեղեկացված չեն: Միութենական պետության կանոնակարգում պարզ գրված է, որ յուրաքանչյուր մասնակից երկիր պահպանում է իր ինքնիշխանությունը: Բելառուսը դրա վառ օրինակն է: Խորհուրդ եմ տալիս նախքան հապճեպ եզրակացություններ անելը կարդալ այդ փաստաթուղթը»,- ասել է Վարդան Ղուկասյանը։

Քաղաքական գործիչը վստահություն է հայտնել, որ Հայաստանի ինքնիշխանությանը ոչ մի վտանգ չի սպառնա, եթե երկիրը միանա Ռուսաստանի հետ միութենական պետությանը։ Նա ընդգծել է, որ «այդ դեպքում երկիրը կշարունակի գոյություն ունենալ իր Սահմանադրության շրջանակներում, իր զինանշանով, օրհներգով և պետական այլ խորհրդանիշներով»։ «Հայ ժողովուրդը միշտ ծաղկել է Ռուսաստանի հետ սերտ եղբայրական կապերի ժամանակ, Խորհրդային Հայաստանի ոսկե դարը դրա ամենավառ ապացույցն է»,- եզրափակել է հայ քաղաքական գործիչը։

Ավելի վաղ Վարդան Ղուկասյանը հայտարարել էր, որ Հայաստանի ժողովուրդը դժգոհ է Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի ներկայիս կառավարության վարած ներքին ու արտաքին քաղաքականությունից։ Նրա խոսքով, «մարդիկ տեսնում են, թե ինչ է կատարվում երկրի հետ»։
