В ЕК подтвердили позицию о территориальной целостности Украины

В Евросоюзе не комментируют реакцию президента США Дональда Трампа на высказывания украинского президента Владимира Зеленского по переговорам с Россией, но выступают за уважение границ Украины, заявила на брифинге пресс-секретарь Еврокомиссии Паула Пинью.

«Я не буду давать мою оценку того, сбалансирована или нет позиция Соединенных Штатов (между сторонами конфликта). Но могу вам напомнить принципы, которые должны применяться для реализации прекращения огня: это согласие Украины, ее территориальный суверенитет и уважение украинских границ», - сказала она.

«Такова наша позиция, которую мы повторяем и к которой призываем, в том числе в свете нынешних обстоятельств и последних событий», - добавила Пинью.

На вопрос о том, будет ли эта позиция донесена непосредственно до Трампа, она ответила, что в Брюсселе изучают возможность организовать встречу главы Еврокомиссии Урсулы фон дер Ляйен с Трампом, но пока не могут сообщить ничего конкретного. «Нет подтверждения такой встречи, по крайней мере, на данной стадии», - сказала пресс-секретарь ЕК.

Что касается поездки фон дер Ляйен на похороны папы римского Франциска в Рим, куда приедет и Трамп, то главная цель председателя ЕК - проводить понтифика в последний путь, уточнила Пинью. «И если там в связи с похоронами может состояться встреча, если возникнет такая возможность, мы ею воспользуемся», - сообщила представитель ЕК.
