Սաուդյան Արաբիան եւ Կատարը խոստացել են փակել Սիրիայի պարտքը Համաշխարհային բանկին։ Դա կվերացնի միջազգային վարկատուից ֆինանսական օգնություն ստանալու խոչընդոտներից մեկը, հաղորդել է Bloomberg-ը։
Պարսից ծոցի երկրները հայտարարել են մնացած պարտքի շուրջ 15 մլն դոլարը մարելու պատրաստակամության մասին։ Դա տեղի է ունեցել Սիրիայի հետպատերազմյան վերականգնման շուրջ բարձրամակարդակ բանակցություններից հետո, որոնք տեղի են ունեցել անցյալ շաբաթ Համաշխարհային բանկի եւ ԱՄՀ նիստերի շրջանակում: Պետությունները ձգտում են աջակցել տնտեսական վերականգնմանը Սիրիայի նոր նախագահ Ահմեդ Աշ-Շարաայի ղեկավարությամբ:
Միեւնույն ժամանակ, նախկին նախագահ Բաշար Ասադի վարչակազմի դեմ կիրառված ԱՄՆ պատժամիջոցները շարունակում են լուրջ խոչընդոտ հանդիսանալ Սիրիային՝ այն օգնությունը ստանալու համար, որն անհրաժեշտ է երկար տարիների քաղաքացիական պատերազմից հետո վերականգնվելու նպատակով: Հակամարտությունը, որի հետեւանքով զոհվել է ավելի քան 600 հազար մարդ, իսկ միլիոնավոր մարդիկ ստիպված են եղել լքել իրենց տները, գրեթե կրկնակի կրճատել է երկրի ՀՆԱ-ն՝ 2010թ. համեմատ: Ըստ լրատվամիջոցի՝ Սիրիայի վերականգնման ծախսերը գնահատվում են 400 մլրդ դոլար:
