Տեխասի բնակիչ Դալլաս Վինսի կյանքը 23 տարեկանում կտրուկ փոխվեց՝ դժբախտ պատահարի պատճառով: 2008 թվականին նա ներկում էր իր հարազատ քաղաքի եկեղեցու տանիքն ու պատերը: Տղան այդ գործն անում էր վերամբարձ կռունկի խցիկում: Ամբարձիչի օպերատորը չէր նկատել բարձր լարում ունեցող մետաղալարը, և շատ մոտեցրեց խցիկն այդ մետաղալարին…
Երբ խցիկը Դալլասի հետ միասին մոտեցավ այդ մետաղալարին, հոսանքը ամբողջությամբ հալեցրեց տղայի դեմքը: Մեկ ակնթարթում տղան զրկվեց աչքերից, քթից, շուրթերից… Փաստացիորեն դեմքից միայն մեկ անցք մնաց, որը մեկ րոպե առաջ բերան էր:
Անհավանական է, բայց այդ ամենից հետո տղան ողջ մնաց: Բժիշկներին հրաշքով հաջողվեց փրկել Դալլասի կյանքը: Նա կոմայի մեջ մնաց երեք ամիս, իսկ երբ արթնացավ՝ պարզվեց, որ պարանոցից ներքև կաթվածահար էր եղել: Էլեկտրական հոսանքի հարվածից տղայի ուղեղը նույնպես վնասվել էր, բայց, բարեբախտաբար, ոչ շատ:
Բժիշկները մտածում էին, որ Դալլասն անկողնուն գամված կմնա ողջ կյանքում: Ավելին, նրանք կարծում էին, որ թքարտադրող գեղձերը կորցրել են իրենց ֆունկցիան և տղան չի կարող ինքնուրույն ուտել: Բայց չնայած այս բոլոր վատատեսական ենթադրություններին՝ Դալլասի վիճակը լավանում էր:
Տղան մեծ կամքի ուժ ցուցաբերեց: «Ես փոքրիկ աղջիկ ունեմ, և ես պետք է ապրեմ համուն նրա»,- ասում է նա:
Կես տարի անց նրան դուրս գրեցին հիվանդանոցից, իսկ մեկ տարի անց նա արդեն կարողանում էր քայլել:
Դալլասի պատմությունն իմանալով՝ հայտնի պլաստիկ վիրաբույժ Բոգդան Պոմագաչն առաջարկեց նրան դեմքի փոխպատվաստում անել:
Վրահատությունը տևեց 15 ժամ, և արդյունքում տղան նոր դեմք ունեցավ: Անմիջապես վիրահատությունից հետո Դալլասը կարողացավ խոսել հեռախոսով: Նրան հաջողվեց նաև վերականգնել իր հմայքը:
Վիրահատությունից հետո, Դալլասի փոքրիկն աղջիկը, տեսնելով հորն, ասել էր. «Հայրիկ, դու այնքան գեղեցիկ ես»:
Եվ չնայած Դալլասի կինը բաժանվել էր նրանից այդ դեպքը պատահելուց հետո, տղայի անձնական կյանքը դրանով չավարտվեց: Վերականգնողական կենտրոնում նա ծանոթացավ Ջեյմի Նեշի հետ, ով վերականգնման կուրս էր անցնում սարսափելի արվածքներ ստանալուց հետո: Նրանք սիրեցին միմյանց և երկու տարի անց օրինականացրին իրենց հարաբերությունները:
«Մենք երկուսս էլ մեկ ողբերգության միջով ենք ստիպված եղել անցնել: Բայց մենք չենք կորցրել լավ կյանք ունենալու մեր հույսն ու հավատը: Հիմա մենք միասին ենք և երջանիկ:
Նայեք մեզ և մի հուսահատվեք, երբ ձեզ մետ ինչ-որ բան այն չի լինում: Վաղ թե ուշ ամեն ինչ կհարթվի», – վստահեցնում է տիկին Վինսը:
