Պաշտոնական այցով Հայաստան ժամանած Մարսելի քաղաքապետ Բենուա Պայանի գլխավորած պատվիրակությունը մայիսի 3-ին այցելեց Հայոց ցեղասպանության հուշահամալիր՝ Երևանի ավագանու անդամների և ՀՀ-ում Ֆրանսիայի արտակարգ և լիազոր դեսպան Օլիվյե Դըկոտինյիի ուղեկցությամբ:

Այդ մասին հայտնում են Հայոց ցեղասպանության հուշահամալիրից։

Հյուրերին դիմավորեց Հայոց ցեղասպանության թանգարան-ինստիտուտի տնօրեն Էդիտա Գզոյանը և ուղեկցեց դեպի Հայոց ցեղասպանության հուշահամալիր՝ ներկայացնելով հուշահամալիրի ստեղծման պատմությունը: ՀՑԹԻ տնօրենն անդրադարձ կատարեց նաև Ծիծեռնակաբերդի տարածքում անցյալ դարավերջին Ադրբեջանի Սումգայիթ, Կիրովաբադ (Գանձակ), Բաքու քաղաքներում ադրբեջանական կառավարության կազմակերպած կոտորածներին զոհ գնացած հայերի հիշատակին տեղադրված երեք խաչքարերին՝ շեշտելով կապը տեղի ունեցածի և Հայոց ցեղասպանության միջև:

Մարսելի քաղաքապետը ծաղկեպսակ դրեց Հայոց ցեղասպանության զոհերի հիշատակը հավերժացնող հուշակոթողին, այնուհետև հյուրերը ծաղիկներ դրեցին անմար կրակի մոտ և մեկ րոպե լռությամբ հարգեցին Հայոց ցեղասպանության անմեղ զոհերի հիշատակը:

Ֆրանսիայից ժամանած պատվիրակության անդամները շրջեցին նաև Հայոց ցեղասպանության թանգարանում, որտեղ ՀՑԹԻ-ի էքսկուրսավար Հասմիկ Մարտիրոսյանի ուղեկցությամբ ծանոթացան մշտական և ժամանակավոր ցուցադրություններին, որից հետո Մարսելի քաղաքապետ Բենուա Պայանը գրառում կատարեց Պատվավոր հյուրերի հուշամատյանում:
Շնորհակալություն հայտնելով այցի համար՝ Էդիտա Գզոյանը պատվավոր հյուրին նվիրեց Հայոց ցեղասպանության մասին գրքեր: Վերջում Մարսելի քաղաքապետը եղավ նաև Հիշողության պուրակում և ի հիշատակ Հայոց ցեղասպանության զոհերի՝ տնկեց արծաթափայլ եղևնի:
