Երեկ լրահոսում առանցքային դերակատարն անկասկած Սերժ Սարգսյանն էր, ով շուրջ 2 ժամ 30 րոպե հանգամանալից անդրադարձավ մի շարք խորքային հարցերի՝ ներկայացնելով առանցքային պարզաբանումներ։ Հասկանալի է, որ որոշ շրջանակների համար այդ ձևակերպումները կարող էին բավականին ցավոտ լինել։ Սակայն, ինչպես նշում է երրորդ նախագահը, անհրաժեշտ է ընդունել և համակերպվել նոր իրողություններին։ Նախագահի խոսքում բացակայում էր պաթոսը. նրա խոսքը կառուցված էր տրամաբանված և փաստարկված դիտարկումների վրա։ Եթե որոշ լսարանների համար դա առաջացրել է անհարմարություն կամ ցավ, պատճառները, անկասկած, պետք է փնտրել սեփական քաղաքական անցյալի և ներկայի մեջ։

Ըստ էության, Սարգսյանը վերահաստատեց դեռ մեկ ամիս առաջ հնչեցրած իր հիմնական թեզը՝ առանց համազգային համերաշխության անհնար է որևէ էական հաջողության հասնել։ Սա սկզբունքային շեշտադրում է, որն, ըստ արժանվույն, հաճախ անտեսվում է։ Իր՝ որպես պետականակենտրոն գործչի կերպարը, այս գաղափարով ևս մեկ անգամ ընդգծվում է։ Սարգսյանի առաջարկած իշխանափոխության մոդելը չունի վրեժխնդրության կամ պառակտման օրակարգ։ Նա հստակ ասում է՝ իշխանափոխությունից հետո առաջնայինը պետք է լինի ոչ թե «վհուկների որսը», այլ ազգային համերաշխության ձևավորումը, որն էլ հիմք կհանդիսանա պետության կայուն վերակառուցման և առաջընթացի համար։

Նա ընդգծում է՝ ի տարբերություն գործող իշխանությունների, ինքը երբեք իշխանության չի եկել ատելության հողի վրա։ Եվ նույնիսկ ընդդիմադիր լինելով՝ երբեք չի փորձել քանդել պետական համակարգը։ «Ես երբեք ինձ թույլ չեմ տվել հայրենիքի դեմ խոսել՝ նույնիսկ ամենածանր օրերին», – նշել է նախագահը։

Սարգսյանի ելույթը անհրաժեշտ է դիտարկել ոչ միայն որպես հերթական ընդդիմադիր քննադատություն, այլ որպես գաղափարական և ռազմավարական ինքնաարտահայտման ուղերձ։ Նա իր խոսքի միջոցով վերահաստատում է, որ լինելով պետական գործիչ իր համար առաջնահերթությունը պետության շահն է, այս կեպարը հակադրվելով թե՛ գործող իշխանությանը, և թե՛ ընդդիմադիր դաշտի այն դերակատարներին, ովքեր ըստ նրա՝ առաջնորդվում են անձնական ամբիցիաներով։
