Գերմանիայի կանցլեր Ֆրիդրիխ Մերցը կիրակի օրը հայտարարել է, որ Մեծ Բրիտանիայի, Ֆրանսիայի և Լեհաստանի ղեկավարների հետ մտադիր է խոսել ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի հետ՝ ԱՄՆ նախագահի և Ռուսաստանի նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինի միջև երկուշաբթի օրը նախատեսված հեռախոսազրույցից առաջ, հաղորդում է Reuters-ը։

Մերցն ասել է, որ այս հարցը քննարկել է ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղար Մարկո Ռուբիոյի հետ, երբ նրանք երկուսն էլ ներկա են եղել Վատիկանում Հռոմի Պապ Լևոն XIV-ի պաշտոնակալության պատարագին։ Մերցն ասել է, որ Վատիկանում երկար զրույց է ունեցել նաև Ուկրաինայի նախագահ Վլադիմիր Զելենսկիի հետ։

«Ես խոսել եմ Մարկո Ռուբիոյի հետ, այդ թվում՝ վաղվա հեռախոսազրույցի մասին։ Մենք պայմանավորվել ենք, որ ևս մեկ անգամ կխոսենք չորս պետությունների ղեկավարների և ԱՄՆ նախագահի հետ՝ (Պուտինի հետ) այդ խոսակցությանը նախապատրաստվելու շրջանակներում», - լրագրողներին ասել է Մերցը։

Ավելի վաղ ԱՄՆ նախագահը հայտարարել էր, որ մտադիր է երկուշաբթի օրը հեռախոսազրույց ունենալ իր ռուսաստանյան գործընկերոջ, իսկ դրանից հետո՝ Ուկրաինայի նախագահ Վլադիմիր Զելենսկիի հետ։

Ավելի ուշ Կրեմլում հաստատել են, որ երկու երկրների ղեկավարների հեռախոսազրույցի նախապատրաստական աշխատանքներ են տարվում։
