ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփը Truth Social սոցիալական ցանցում հրապարակել է Թեյլոր Սվիֆթի մասին հերթական կծու հաղորդագրությունը։

78-ամյա Թրամփը հայտարարել է, որ երգչուհին «այլևս սեքսուալ չէ» և ենթադրել է, որ նա կարող է լինել նրա «ժողովրդականության անկման» պատճառը։ «Ո՞վ է նկատել, որ այն բանից հետո, երբ ես ասացի՝ «ես ատում եմ Թեյլոր Սվիֆթին», նա այլևս «սեքսուալ» չէ»,-գրել է Թրամփը։

Դեռևս հայտնի չէ, թե կոնկրետ ինչն է դրդել նախագահին հրապարակել այս հաղորդագրությունը Մերձավոր Արևելք կատարած ուղևորությունից վերադառնալիս։

Թրամփը բազմիցս քննադատել է Սվիֆթին, հատկապես այն բանից հետո, երբ նա 2020 թվականի ընտրություններում աջակցեց Ջո Բայդենին։ 2024 թվականին երգչուհին կրկին խոսեց Թրամփի դեմ՝ հայտարարելով փոխնախագահ Կամալա Հարիսին աջակցելու մասին։ 

«Ես քվեարկում եմ @kamalaharris-ի օգտին, քանի որ նա պայքարում է այն իրավունքների և արժեքների համար, որոնք, իմ կարծիքով, իսկական մարտիկի կարիք ունեն։ Նա հավասարակշռված, տաղանդավոր առաջնորդ է, և ես հավատում եմ, որ մենք կարող ենք շատ ավելիի հասնել, եթե մեզ առաջնորդի հանգստությունը, այլ ոչ թե քաոսը»։

Ի պատասխան՝ Թրամփը Truth Social-ում գրել էր. «Ես ատում եմ Թեյլոր Սվիֆթին»։

Թրամփի մամուլի քարտուղար Քերոլայն Լևիթը այն ժամանակ ասել էր, որ Սվիֆթը չի հասկանում «սովորական ամերիկացիներին», և որ Հարիսին նրա աջակցությունը միայն ապացուցում է, որ Դեմոկրատական ​​կուսակցությունը «ներկայացնում է էլիտայի շահերը»։ «Թեյլոր Սվիֆթը կարող է հիանալի երաժշտություն ստեղծել, բայց նա չի հասկանում այն ​​դժվարությունները, որոնց բախվում են սովորական, աշխատասեր ընտանիքները»,-ասել էր Լևիթը,-«Նախագահ Թրամփը խոսում է այն մարդկանց անունից, ովքեր, ինչպես Թեյլորը, բախտ չունեն ապրելու էլիտար համայնքների բարձր ցանկապատերի հետևում»։

Սվիֆթը նախկինում 2019 թվականին The Guardian-ին տված հարցազրույցում խոստովանել էր, որ 2016 թվականի ընտրություններում աջակցել է Հիլարի Քլինթոնին։
