Ավստրալիայում ջրհեղեղը զոհերի և ավերածությունների պատճառ է դարձել

Ավստրալիայի հարավ-արևելքում ջրհեղեղի հետևանքով զոհերի թիվը հասել է 4-ի։ Այս մասին հաղորդում է Reuters-ը։
Վերջին զոհը հայտնաբերվել է ջրերի մեջ հայտնված մեքենայում։ Ոստիկանությունը հայտնել է, որ տղամարդուն գտել են Քոֆս Հարբորի մոտակայքում, Սիդնեյից մոտ 550 կմ հյուսիս։
Երեք օր տևած անդադար անձրևներն ամբողջովին արտաքին աշխարհից կտրել են քաղաքներ, քշել-տարել անասուններ և ավերել տներ։
Արտակարգ իրավիճակների ծառայությունների աշխատակիցները հայտնել են, որ շուրջ 50 000 մարդ դեռևս մեկուսացված է։ Բացի այդ, ջրհեղեղի ենթարկված տներ վերադարձող բնակիչներին հորդորել են զգույշ լինել վտանգներից։
«Ջրհեղեղի ջրերը պարունակում են աղտոտիչներ, կարող են լինել վնասատուներ, օձեր…., ուստի պետք է գնահատել այդ ռիսկերը։ Էլեկտրաէներգիան նույնպես կարող է վտանգ ներկայացնել», – մամուլի ասուլիսի ժամանակ նշել է նահանգի արտակարգ իրավիճակների ծառայությունների փոխկոմիսար Դեմիեն Ջոնսթոնը։
Վարչապետ Էնթոնի Ալբանիզը հայտարարել է, որ ստիպված է եղել չեղարկել իր նախատեսված այցը Թարի՝ ջրհեղեղից ամենաշատը տուժած քաղաքներից մեկը։
«Մենք փորձեցինք… բայց դա հնարավոր չէր հանգամանքների պատճառով, որոնք, վստահ եմ, մարդիկ հասկանում են», – լրագրողների հետ զրույցում նշել է Ալբանիզը։
Ավստրալիան բախվում է ծայրահեղ եղանակային երևույթների, որոնք, որոշ մասնագետների կարծիքով, տեղի են ունենում կլիմայական փոփոխությունների պատճառով։ Նախորդ տասնամյակի վերջին տեղի ունեցած երաշտներից և ավերիչ անտառային հրդեհներից հետո, 2021 թվականի սկզբից ի վեր հաճախակի են դարձել ավերածություններ առաջացնող ջրհեղեղները։
