Հայաստանի 5 ներկայացուցիչ դուրս եկավ սպորտային մարմնամարզության Եվրոպայի առաջնության եզրափակիչ:
Գերմանիայի Լայպցիգ քաղաքում մայիսի 26-ից մեկնարկած Եվրոպայի առաջնությունում երկրորդ մրցումային օրը պայքարը սկսեցին Հայաստանի ներկայացուցիչները:
Հակոբ Սերոբյանի գլխավորած թիմը Եվրոպայի առաջնությունում մասնակցեց թիմային պայքարի մրցաշարում: Առանձին գործիքներում որակավորման փուլի արգելքը հաղթահարեցին Արթուր Դավթյանը, Վահագն Դավթյանը, Արթուր Ավետիսյանը, Համլետ Մանուկյանը եւ Մամիկոն Խաչատրյանը:
Օլիմպիական խաղերի արծաթե եւ բրոնզե մեդալակիր, աշխարհի չեմպիոն, Եվրոպայի կրկնակի չեմպիոն, աշխարհի եռակի գավաթակիր Արթուր Դավթյանը հենացատկի վարժությունում վաստակեց 14.516 միավոր եւ երկրորդ տեղով դուրս եկավ եզրափակիչ:
Երիտասարդների աշխարհի կրկնակի չեմպիոն, Եվրոպայի չեմպիոն, աշխարհի գավաթակիր Համլետ Մանուկյանը նժույգ թափեր վարժությունում վաստակեց 14.566 միավոր եւ առաջին տեղով եզրափակիչում է: Երիտասարդների աշխարհի փոխչեմպիոն, Եվրոպայի բրոնզե մեդալակիր Մամիկոն Խաչատրյանն այս վարժությունում որակավորման փուլում վաստակեց 14.400 միավոր:
Օղակների վարժությունում Արթուր Ավետիսյանը հավաքեց 14.300 միավոր, Եվրոպայի կրկնակի փոխչեմպիոն Վահագն Դավթյանը՝ 13.866 միավոր:
