Երիտասարդ հայրիկ Սկոտ Ուոկերը շատ ահնանգստացած էր, երբ իր փոքրիկ աղջկա՝ Մոլլիի առողջական վիճակը վտանգված էր:
Այդ օրը փոքրիկի մոտ լացի նոպա էր սկսվել, և Սկոտը նկատեց, որ Մոլլիի ջերմությունը բարձրանում է:
Անհանգստացած հայրիկը որոշեց հանել աղջկա գուլպաները և մի սարսափելի բան տեսավ: Մոլլիին զույգի առաջին երեխան չէր, նրանք 3-ամյա դուստր էլ ունեին:
Հանելով փոքրիկի գուլպան՝ Սկոտը նկատեց, որ նրա ոտքի մատներից մեկի հետ ինչ-որ բան այն չէ: Այն այտուցված էր: Պարզվեց, որ մատին մազ է փաթաթված եղել, շատ ամուր, և դժվարացրել էր արյան շրջանառությունը:
Այդ ֆենոմենը բժշկության մեջ նույնիսկ անվանում ունի տուրնիկետյան համախտանիշ: Բարեբախտաբար, դա ոչ մի կերպ Մոլլիի առողջության վրա չի ազդել: Ուշադիր մայրիկն անմիջապես ազատեց նրան մազի պատճառած տանջանքից:
