ՀՀ ՇՄ նախարարությունը հայտարարությամբ է հանդես եկել, որում ասված է․

«Վերջին շրջանում նկատելի է օձերի հանդեպ չհիմնավորված վախի և ագրեսիայի աճ, ինչը հանգեցնում է բնության այս կարևոր օղակի ոչնչացմանը։ Համացանցում հաճախակի են դառնում դեպքերը, երբ օձերին վնասում են կամ առանց մասնագիտական միջամտության փորձում «վնասազերծել»՝ լրջորեն վտանգելով և՛ իրենց, և՛ կենդանիների կյանքը։

Ցանկանում ենք հիշեցնել, որ օձերը մեր էկոհամակարգի անբաժան մասն են։ Նրանք ոչ միայն վտանգավոր չեն, այլև օգտակար են՝ կատարելով կարևոր գործառույթ՝ վերահսկելով վնասատու միջատների, մկների և այլ փոքր կենդանիների պոպուլյացիան։

Բոլոր օձերը վտանգավոր չեն, իսկ Հայաստանի տարածքում ապրող տեսակներից միայն մի քանիսն են թունավոր։ Շատ հաճախ մարդիկ առանց տարբերելու՝ սպանում են բոլոր տեսակի օձերին։

Հորդորում ենք՝

Եթե հանդիպել եք օձի՝ մի փորձեք սպանել կամ բռնել նրան,

Զանգահարեք Արտակարգ իրավիճակների նախարարություն կամ բնապահպանական կառույց,

Սովորեցրեք երեխաներին խուճապի չմատնվել՝ օձի ներկայության դեպքում,

Համացանցում մի տարածեք օձերի նկատմամբ դաժան վերաբերմունքի տեսանյութեր կամ լուսանկարներ, դա խրախուսում է սխալ վերաբերմունք։

Պաշտպանելով օձերին՝ մենք պաշտպանում ենք նաև բնության հավասարակշռությունը»։
