Ամերիկյան Westinghouse էներգետիկ ընկերությունը բանակցություններ է վարում ԱՄՆ կառավարության հետ երկրում 10 նոր միջուկային ռեակտոր կառուցելու համար։

Այս մասին գրում է բրիտանական Financial Times (FT) թերթը՝ հղում անելով Westinghouse-ի գործադիր տնօրենի պաշտոնակատար Դեն Սամներին։

Նրա խոսքով, ընկերությունը մտադիր է առանցքային դիրք գրավել ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի հրամանագրի կատարման մեջ՝ 2050 թվականին ամերիկյան ատոմային էներգիայի հզորությունը քառապատկելու և մինչև 2030 թվականը 10 նոր ռեակտորների շինարարություն սկսելու վերաբերյալ:

Սամներն ընդգծել է, որ Westinghouse-ն ունի եզակի դիրք ամերիկյան շուկայում, քանի որ ունի ապացուցված և հաստատված առաջատար ռեակտորի մոդել AP1000, լայն և հուսալի մատակարարման շղթաներ, ինչպես նաև ԱՄՆ-ում ներկայումս իրականացվող նախագծեր։ Ինքը՝ AP1000 ռեակտորները, որոնք մշակվել են 2000-ականներին, արդեն գործում են ոչ միայն ԱՄՆ-ում, այլև Չինաստանում։

«Պատվերը պահանջում է 10 խոշոր միջուկային ռեակտորներ, և մենք հավատում ենք, որ կարող ենք կառուցել դրանք բոլորը, դրանք կլինեն AP1000: Մեր գործընկերները, տեխնոլոգիական ընկերությունները, մատակարարները, բոլորը հավաքվում են՝ պարզելու, թե կոնկրետ ինչպես իրականացնել նման նախագիծը», - ավելացրեց Սամները:

ԱՄՆ էներգետիկայի նախարարության տվյալներով՝ 10 խոշոր միջուկային ռեակտորների կառուցումը կարող է արժենալ 75 միլիարդ դոլար։
