Աղեստամոքսային համարկարգը ոչ ոքի մոտ 100 տոկոսանոց արդյունավետությամբ չի աշխատում։ Այդ պատճառով էլ աղիներում թունավոր նյութեր են հավաքվում, ինչը բերում է փորկապության, փորլուծության, դիսբակտերիոզի, քրոնիկ հոգնածության եւ իմունիտետի անկման։ Աղիներում կարող է մինչեւ անգամ 15 կիլոգրամ թունավոր նյութեր՝ տոքսիներ հավաքվել, եւ եթե պարբերաբար չմաքրեք աղիները, դրանք լուրջ խնդիրների կարող են հանգեցնել։

Աղիները կարելի է մաքրել բժշկական միջամտությամբ, սակայն կարելի է նաեւ բնական միջոցներով հիանալի արդյունքների հասնել։
