ԱՄՆ հետախուզական գործակալությունները փետրվարից ի վեր զգուշացնում էին, որ Իսրայելը, հավանաբար , այս տարի կփորձի հարվածել Իրանի միջուկային ծրագրի կարևորագույն օբյեկտներին, հայտնում է CNN-ը:
Իսկ Axios լրատվականը հաղորդում է, որ Իսրայելի կողմից Իրանի դեմ իրականացված օպերացիայի գաղտնի նախապատրաստական աշխատանքները տևել են մոտ 8 ամիս:

Իսրայելը Իրանը դիտարկում է որպես իր գոյության գլխավոր սպառնալիքը. տարիներ շարունակ Իսրայելը հայտարարել է, որ ամենաշատը կտուժի, եթե Իրանը, որը հրաժարվում է ճանաչել Իսրայելի գոյության իրավունքը, մշակի միջուկային զենք։
Իսրայելը և Իրանը տասնամյակներ շարունակ ստվերային պատերազմ են մղել միջնորդների և գաղտնի գործողությունների միջոցով։ Թեհրանն էլ իր հերթին աջակցել է տարածաշրջանային զինված խմբավորումներին, որոնք անմիջական հակամարտության մեջ են մտել Իսրայելի հետ, ինչպիսիք են՝ Հեզբոլլահը՝Լիբանանում, Համասը՝Գազայում և հուսիթները՝ Եմենում։

Նեթանյահուն լուրջ ներքաղաքական լարվածության մեջ է. նոր զինվորական ծառայության մասին օրինագծին դիմադրությունը քաղաքական փակուղի է առաջացրել, և Իսրայելի խորհրդարանը՝ Քնեսեթը, ինքնալուծարման խնդրի առաջ էր կանգնել, ինչը, ի վերջո, կարող էր հանգեցնել վաղաժամկետ ընտրությունների, և ըստ հարցումների ցուցանիշերի, Նեթանյահուն կպարտվի։

Խորհրդարանը չորեքշաբթի օրը մերժեց լուծարման վերաբերյալ քվեարկությունը՝ Նեթանյահուին ավելի շատ ժամանակ տալով ճգնաժամը լուծելու համար։
Ինչո՞ւ հիմա. ՄԱԿ-ի միջուկային վերահսկող մարմինը հինգշաբթի օրը բանաձև ընդունեց, որով Իրանը խախտում է միջուկային զենքի չտարածման վերաբերյալ իր պարտավորությունները։

Թեհրանը հակադարձեց՝ հայտարարելով, որ կարագացնի իր միջուկային գործունեությունը, զգուշացնելով, որ «այլ տարբերակ չունի, քան պատասխանելը»։
