Մասնավորապես, իրանական միջուկային օբյեկտների վրա հարձակումը չի ազդել Սպահանի միջուկային վառելիքի հիմնական պահեստի վրա: Սա Իրանի ամենամեծ միջուկային համալիրներից մեկն , և այն չի ռմբակոծվել՝ չնայած ուրանի հարստացման ծրագրում իր կարևոր դերին:
Հարձակումների երկրորդ փուլում Իսրայելը հարվածել է Սպահանի այլ վայրերին՝ լաբորատորիաներին, որտեղ աշխատում էին ուրանը մետաղի վերածելու վրա, բայց հարստացված վառելիքի պաշարների տարածքը մնացել է անձեռնմխելի:
Մասնագետները կարծում են, որ սա կարող էր գիտակցված որոշում լինել: Հնարավոր պատճառների թվում են հարվածի դեպքում ճառագայթային աղտոտման վախը կամ այն սպասումը, որ Իրանը կամավոր կհրաժարվի վառելիքից:
