Space Solar ռոբոտը կօգնի հավաքել կիլոմետրներ երկարությամբ արևային վահանակներ և այլ հսկա օբյեկտներ ուղեծրում

Մեծ Բրիտանիայի Ատոմային էներգիայի վարչությունը (UKAEA) և Space Solar-ը փորձարկել են տիեզերական ռոբոտաշինարարի նախատիպը: AlbaTRUSS նախագիծը մշակել է մեքենա, որը կարող է կառուցել «մեծածավալ ենթակառուցվածքային նախագծեր ուղեծրում», այդ թվում տվյալների կենտրոններ և էներգետիկ ֆերմաներ, ասվում է կառավարության հայտարարության մեջ, գրում է servernews.ru–ն:
Փորձարկումը ներառել էր հեռակառավարվող մանիպուլյատորների միջոցով հատվածների հավաքում: Նախագծի մասնակիցների խոսքով՝ խոսքը տիեզերքում հսկա արևային վահանակներ՝ մի քանի կիլոմետր երկարությամբ և մոտ 20 մետր լայնությամբ, կառուցելու համար հիմնական բլոկի ստեղծման մասին է: Հավաքված էներգիան ենթադրաբար պետք է ուղարկվի Երկիր միկրոալիքային ճառագայթման միջոցով: Datacenter Dynamics-ի տվյալներով AlbaTRUSS-ը կարևորագույն նվաճում է ոչ միայն Մեծ Բրիտանիայի արբանյակային արդյունաբերության, այլ նաև ընդհանուր առմամբ խոշորածավալ տիեզերական կառույցների ապագայի համար՝ տվյալների կենտրոններից մինչև էներգետիկ նախագծեր:
Space Solar-ը հույս ունի առաջին 30 ՄՎտ ցուցադրական համակարգը գործարկել մինչև 2029 թվականը, իսկ գիգավատ հզորությանը, ինչպես կանխատեսվում է, կարելի է հասնել 2030-ականների սկզբին: Այնուամենայնիվ, դեռևս կան տեխնիկական խոչընդոտներ և մտահոգություններ տիեզերական արձակումների արժեքի վերաբերյալ: Նախագծերի հաջողությունը կախված կլինի նրանից, թե ինչպես SpaceX Starship-ը կարող է նվազեցնել բեռը տիեզերք հասցնելու ծախսերը:
Շատ ընկերություններ են պլանավորում տվյալների կենտրոններ տեղակայել տիեզերքում: Axiom Space-ը, Starcloud-ը (նախկինում Lumen Orbit–ը), NTT-ն, Ramon.Space-ը և Blue Origin-ը միայն մի քանիսն են նրանցից, ովքեր պլանավորում են ստեղծել ուղեծրային համակարգեր: Sophia Space-ը վերջերս 3.5 միլիոն դոլար նախնական ֆինանսավորում է ստացել տիեզերքում տերմինալ հաշվարկներ կատարելու համար: Նաև Google-ի նախկին գործադիր տնօրեն Էրիկ Շմիդտն է ձեռք է բերել Relativity Space ավիատիեզերական ընկերությունը տվյալների կենտրոններ ուղեծիր ուղարկելու համար:
Արդեն կան որոշ արդյունքներ: Այս տարվա սկզբին Lonestar ստարտափը հաջողությամբ փորձարկել է փոքր տվյալների կենտրոն լուսնի վրա, չնայած դա երկար չի տևել:
