Թուրքիայի արևմուտքում գտնվող Իզմիր նահանգի երեք շրջաններում անտառային հրդեհներ են բռնկվել։
Նահանգապետ Սուլեյման Էլբանը հայտարարել է, որ Սեֆերիհիսար շրջանի հինգ շրջանների բնակիչները տարհանվել են։
«Հրդեհների դեմ պայքարի համար ուղարկվել են 1100 հրշեջ, վեց ինքնաթիռ, 23 ջրցան մեքենա, բուլդոզեր, ավելի քան 100 շտապօգնության անձնակազմ և ժանդարմերիա։ 70-ից 117 կմ/ժ արագությամբ ուժեղ քամու պատճառով ինքնաթիռների մեծ մասը չի կարողանում գործել։ Միայն երկու ծանր հրշեջ ինքնաթիռ է պարբերաբար ջուր լցնում հրդեհի վրա», - ասել է նահանգապետը։
Սեֆերիհիսարում, Մենդերեսում և Գազիեմիրում, որոնք ափից հեռու գտնվող լեռնային տարածքներ են, շարունակում են հրդեհներ բռնկվել։ TRT-ի տվյալներով՝ հրդեհը մոտեցել է գյուղական բնակելի շենքերին։ Շատերը փորձել են տարհանել իրենց մեքենաները, բայց սարքավորումների մի մասը այրվել է։ Ոստիկանությունը օգնում է հրդեհը մարել ջրցան մեքենաների միջոցով, որոնք սովորաբար օգտագործվում են ցույցերը ցրելու համար։
Ծխի և հրշեջ ինքնաթիռների աշխատանքի պատճառով Իզմիրի օդանավակայան ուղևորվող մի քանի ինքնաթիռներ ստիպված են օդում սպասել վայրէջք կատարելու համար։ Որոշ տեղական չվերթներ չեղարկվել են։
Գյուղատնտեսության և անտառտնտեսության նախարար Իբրահիմ Յումաքլին հայտնել է, որ Թուրքիայում երկու օրվա ընթացքում գրանցվել է 150 անտառային հրդեհ, որոնցից 83-ը՝ շաբաթ օրը։ Հրդեհները հիմնականում գրանցվել են երկրի արևմտյան և հյուսիսարևմտյան շրջաններում, հիմնականում անտառածածկ և գյուղատնտեսական տարածքներում։
