ՄԱԿ-ը տեղյակ է Ռուսաստանի և Ադրբեջանի միջև հարաբերություններում աճող լարվածության մասին և հույս ունի, որ երկրները տարաձայնությունները կլուծեն դիվանագիտական ճանապարհով։ Դրա մասին ճեպազրույցում հայտարարել է համաշխարհային կազմակերպության ղեկավարի պաշտոնական ներկայացուցիչ Ստեֆան Դյուժարիկը։
«Մենք տեղյակ ենք Ադրբեջանի և Ռուսաստանի Դաշնության միջև աճող լարվածության մասին, որն ուղեկցվում է երկու երկրներում միջադեպերով։ Հուսով ենք՝ ամեն ինչ կլուծվի դիվանագիտական ճանապարհով, և լրագրողական գործունեության ազատությունը կապահովվի»,- ասել է նա՝ ի պատասխան լրագրողի՝ Sputnik Азербайджан լրատվական գործակալության աշխատակիցներին առնչվող իրավիճակը մեկնաբանելու խնդրանքի։
Ադրբեջանի ՆԳՆ-ն հունիսի 30-ին հայտարարեց, որ իրավապահ մարմինները գործողություն են անցկացնում Sputnik Азербайджан լրատվական գործակալության գրասենյակում։ Ավելի ուշ նախարարությունը հայտնեց գործակալության գրասենյակում մի քանի անձանց ձերբակալման մասին, որոնց թվում՝ Sputnik Азербайджан-ի ղեկավար Իգոր Կարտավիխի և գլխավոր խմբագիր Եվգենի Բելոուսովի։
Երեքշաբթի Մոսկվայում Ադրբեջանի դեսպան Ռահման Մուստաֆաևը կանչվել է Ռուսաստանի ԱԳՆ, որտեղ նրան բանավոր նոտա է հանձնվել Բաքվում ձերբակալված ռուս լրագրողների անհապաղ ազատ արձակման պահանջով։
Ռուսաստանի Դաշնության Սվերդլովսկի մարզի քննչական կոմիտեի մամուլի ծառայությունը նախկինում հայտնել էր, որ իրավապահ մարմինները հունիսի 27-ին կասեցրել են մի էթնիկ խմբի գործունեությունը։ Նախնական տվյալներով՝ մեղադրյալներից մեկը մահացել է սրտի անբավարարությունից։ Երկրորդ անձի մահվան պատճառը պարզվում է։
Բաքվում նրանք բողոքի ակցիա են անցկացրել անվտանգության ուժերի գործողությունների դեմ։ Ադրբեջանական կողմի նախաձեռնությամբ չեղարկվել են Ռուսաստանի Դաշնության հետ մշակութային և որոշ այլ միջոցառումներ։ Կրեմլը ընդգծել է, որ Մոսկվան ափսոսում է Բաքվի՝ նման որոշումների համար։
