Հարավային Կարոլինայի ափերի մոտ ձևավորվել է արևադարձային «Շանտալ» փոթորիկը

Հարավային Կարոլինայի ափերից մոտ 150 մղոն հեռավորության վրա շաբաթ առավոտյան ձևավորվել է Շանտալ արևադարձային փոթորիկը, ինչի հետևանքով Հյուսիսային և Հարավային Կարոլինայի որոշ հատվածներում տրվել են արևադարձային փոթորկի մասին նախազգուշացումներ, հաղորդում է CBS News-ը։
Մայամիի Ազգային օդերևութաբանական ծառայությունը հայտնել է, որ փոթորիկը գտնվում է Չարլստոնից (Հարավային Կարոլինա) հարավ-արևելք և Ուիլմինգտոնից (Հարավային Կարոլինա) մոտ 240 մղոն հարավ-արևմուտք։
Քամու առավելագույն արագությունը կազմել է 40 մղոն/ժամ և շարժվել է մոտ 2 մղոն/ժամ արագությամբ։
Օրացույցները նշել են, որ փոթորիկը, ինչպես սպասվում է, կիրակի երեկոյան կշրջվի դեպի հյուսիս-արևելք, իսկ Շանտալի կենտրոնը, ինչպես սպասվում է, այդ օրը կտեղափոխվի Հարավային Կարոլինայի ափ։
Արևադարձային փոթորկի մասին նախազգուշացումներ են տրվել Հարավային Կարոլինայի Սաութ Սանտի գետից մինչև Հյուսիսային Կարոլինայի Քեյփ Ֆիր, իսկ արևադարձային փոթորկի մասին նախազգուշացում է տրվել Էդիստո լողափից մինչև Հարավային Սանտի գետ։
Օրացույցները կանխատեսում են, որ Շանտալը երկուշաբթի օրը Քարոլինյան կղզիների ափամերձ հարթավայրի որոշ հատվածներում կտեղա ուժեղ տեղումներ՝ երկուսից չորս դյույմ և մինչև վեց դյույմ առանձին վայրերում։ Սա կարող է հանգեցնել արագ ջրհեղեղների։ Ատլանտյան փոթորիկների սեզոնը տևում է հունիսի 1-ից մինչև նոյեմբերի 30-ը, ակտիվությունը սովորաբար գագաթնակետին է հասնում օգոստոսի կեսերից մինչև հոկտեմբերի կեսերը։
Ելույթ ունեցողները կանխատեսում են, որ Ատլանտյան փոթորիկների սեզոնի նորմայից բարձր լինելու հավանականությունը 60% է՝ 13-ից 19 անվանական փոթորիկներով։
Կանխատեսվում է, որ դրանցից վեցից տասը կուժեղանան՝ վերածվելով փոթորիկների, իսկ երեքից հինգը կարող են վերածվել խոշոր փոթորիկների։
