Եկատերինբուրգում զանգվածային ձերբակալությունները (ավելի քան 50 մարդ) և երկու ադրբեջանցու դաժան սպանությունները դարձան Ադրբեջանի կառավարության վրա ճնշման ռազմավարության մի մասը։ Դրա մասին ուկրաինական «Европейская правда» պարբերականի «Կովկասյան հակագրոհ. ինչու էր Պուտինին անհրաժեշտ հակամարտություն Ադրբեջանի հետ» հոդվածում գրում է Ադրբեջանի Ժողովրդական ճակատ կուսակցության նախագահ Ալի Քերիմլին։
«Կրեմլում հիանալի հասկանում են, որ Ադրբեջանում սոցիալական իրավիճակը ծանր է, և միլիոնավոր ադրբեջանցիների Ռուսաստանից վերադարձը կարող է լուրջ լարվածություն ստեղծել։ Ահա թե ինչու հարվածը հասցվեց ամենախոցելի կետին։
Պուտինը հույս ուներ, որ Ռուսաստանից ադրբեջանցիների զանգվածային արտաքսման սպառնալիքը Ալիևին կստիպի զիջումների գնալ։
Սակայն Մոսկվան հաշվի չառավ, որ իրավիճակը փոխվել է։ Ադրբեջանն առաջվա պես այնքան էլ չի վախենում պատերազմից թուլացող Ռուսաստանից։
Ավելին, պաշտոնական Բաքուն ինքը ձգտում է հեռանալ Ռուսաստանից, որը միջազգային ասպարեզում ավելի ու ավելի է մեկուսանում և վարկաբեկվում։ Կրեմլի անհաջողությունները Սիրիայում, Իրանին կամ Ասադին պաշտպանելու նրա անկարողությունը, Հայաստանում և Մոլդովայում իշխանափոխության փորձերի ձախողումը՝ այդ ամենը Բաքվում աննկատ չի մնացել։
Ալիևը սկսում է գիտակցել, որ Ռուսաստանի դաշնակիցը լինելը կարող է նույնիսկ ավելի վտանգավոր լինել, քան նրա թշնամին լինելը։ Հետևաբար, Բաքվի արձագանքը Կրեմլի ճնշմանը զիջումներ չէին, այլ Ադրբեջանում Ռուսաստանի քաղաքացիների ձերբակալություններ։
Մոսկվան պատրաստ չէր իրադարձությունների նման շրջադարձի։
Նպատակը բոլոր ադրբեջանցիների իրական տեղահանումը չէր, այլ՝ վախեցնելը։ Բայց ծրագիրը, գոնե այս փուլում, ձախողվեց։
Միաժամանակ, պարզ է, որ երկու կողմերն էլ փորձում են չսրել հակամարտությունը մինչև վերջ։ Ե՛վ Մոսկվան, և՛ Բաքուն վախենում են սրման հաջորդ փուլից և փոխզիջման հնարավորություններ են փնտրում։
«Ռուսաստանում ադրբեջանցիների ձերբակալությունները դեռևս շարունակվում են, բայց ընդհանուր առմամբ, երկու կողմերն էլ, կարծես, չեն շտապում այրել բոլոր կամուրջները», - գրել է Քերիմլին։
