Իսրայելական զորքերը վերջերս գրոհել են սիրիական նախկին ռեժիմին պատկանող մի քանի ռազմական օբյեկտներ և հայտնաբերել մեծ քանակությամբ զենք։ Այս մասին հայտնում է Times of Israel-ը՝ հղում անելով Իսրայելի բանակին (ՑԱԽԱԼ)։
ՑԱԽԱԼ-ը պնդում է, որ անցյալ շաբաթ Հերմոն լեռան գագաթին տեղակայված 810-րդ լեռնային տարածաշրջանային բրիգադի պահեստազորայինները գրոհել են «Բաշար Ասադի ռեժիմի կոմանդոսների ուժերին» պատկանող մի քանի «առանցքային շտաբներ»։
Ըստ զինվորականների՝ օբյեկտներում հայտնաբերվել է ավելի քան երեք տոննա զենք, ներառյալ հակատանկային ականներ, պայթուցիկ սարքեր և հրթիռներ։
ՑԱԽԱԼ-ը հայտարարում է, որ այս տարածքում իր գործողություններն ուղղված են «Սիրիայից Լիբանան զենքի մաքսանենգությունը կանխելուն»։
Դեկտեմբերին Սիրիայի նախկին նախագահ Բաշար Ասադի տապալումից հետո ՑԱԽԱԼ-ը ինը դիտակետ է տեղակայել Սիրիայի հարավում՝ հիմնականում երկրների միջև սահմանի՝ ՄԱԿ-ի վերահսկողության տակ գտնվող բուֆերային գոտում։
Զորքերը գործում են Սիրիայի տարածքում մինչև 15 կիլոմետր խորությամբ՝ ձգտելով զավթել զենքը, որը, ըստ Իսրայելի պնդման, կարող է սպառնալիք ներկայացնել երկրի համար, եթե հայտնվի «թշնամական ուժերի» ձեռքում։
