Նիգերիայի նախկին նախագահ Մուհամմադու Բուհարին մահացել է 82 տարեկանում

Նիգերիայի նախկին նախագահ Մուհամմադու Բուհարին 82 տարեկանում մահացել է Լոնդոնի կլինիկայում, հայտնում է BBC News-ը։
Բուհարին եղել է նախկին ռազմական կառավարիչ և դեմոկրատ, որը ընտրությունների արդյունքում վերադարձել է իշխանության։ Նա բոլոր ջանքերը գործադրում էր՝ նիգերիացիներին համոզելու, որ կարող է իրականացնել խոստացված փոփոխությունները։
Երեք անհաջող փորձից հետո Բուհարին 2015 թվականին պատմական հաղթանակ տարավ՝ դառնալով երկրում ընդդիմության առաջին թեկնածուն, որը հաղթեց գործող նախագահին։ 2019 թվականին նա վերընտրվեց ևս մեկ քառամյա ժամկետով։
Նրան աջակցողներից շատերը կարծում էին, որ նրա ռազմական անցյալը և կարգապահական հեղինակությունը հենց այն է, ինչ անհրաժեշտ է երկրին՝ հյուսիսում իսլամիստական ապստամբությանը դիմակայելու համար։ Բուհարին նաև խոստացել էր պայքարել կառավարությունում կոռուպցիայի և խնամիության դեմ և աշխատանքի հնարավորություններ ստեղծել երիտասարդ նիգերիացիների համար։
Սակայն նրա պաշտոնավարման շրջանը համընկավ նավթի համաշխարհային գների կտրուկ անկման և վերջին տասնամյակների ընթացքում երկրի ամենավատ տնտեսական ճգնաժամի հետ։
Նրա վարչակազմը նաև քննադատության ենթարկվեց անվտանգության ապահովման հարցում։
Նախընտրական քարոզարշավի ժամանակ նա խոստացել էր հաղթել «Բոկո Հարամ» իսլամիստական զինյալների խմբավորմանը։ Սակայն այդ խմբավորումը շարունակում է սպառնալիք ներկայացնել, և նրա խմբավորումներից մեկը ներկայումս կապված է այսպես կոչված «Իսլամական պետություն» խմբավորման հետ։
