Իրանի կառավարության մամուլի քարտուղար Ֆաթիմա Մոհաջերանին հայտարարել է, որ երկիրը պատրաստ է շարունակել միջուկային բանակցությունները Միացյալ Նահանգների հետ՝ փոխադարձ հարգանքի հիման վրա, հաղորդում է Mehr-ը։
Երեքշաբթի իր ամենշաբաթյա մամուլի ասուլիսում ելույթ ունենալով՝ Մոհաջերանին հայտարարել է, որ նախագահ Մասուդ Փեզեշքիանի վարչակազմը վերջերս աշխարհին է փոխանցել իր ուղերձը միջուկային բանակցությունների պատրաստակամության մասին՝ տարբեր ուղիներով, դրանց թվում՝ դիվանագիտական հանդիպումների և հարցազրույցների միջոցով։
Ըստ նրա՝ վերջին տարիներին Իրանն իր աշխարհագրական դիրքի պատճառով բազմիցս ենթարկվել է թշնամիների հարձակումներին, սակայն իրանական ժողովուրդը պատմության ընթացքում անսասան է մնացել իր ազգային ինքնիշխանության և տարածքային ամբողջականության պաշտպանության հարցում։ Իրանի կառավարության խոսնակը մատնանշել է նախագահ Փեզեշքիանի վերջերս իրանցի արտագաղթածներին ուղղված ուղերձը, որ «նրանք երկրի իրական տերերն են, և չնայած հոգեբանական և տնտեսական ճնշմանը, աշխարհը ականատես է եղել իրանական ազգի պատմական միասնությանը»։
Մոհաջերանին ընդգծել է «12-օրյա պատերազմ» եզրույթը մեկ այլ ձևակերպմամբ փոխարինելու անհրաժեշտությունը՝ ենթադրելով, որ «սրբազան պաշտպանությունն» ավելի տեղին կլինի։
