«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.

Հայաստանում գիտեն, թե ինչպես փոխել իշխանությունը, եթե չեն անում, ապա դա նշանակում է, որ չեն ուզում» վերնագրով հոդվածում գրում է, որ հայ առաջնորդները գիտեն, թե ինչպես փոխել իշխանությունը երկրում, երբ ուզում են, ուստի, եթե Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը մնում է իշխանության գլուխ, ուրեմն, նրանք չեն ուզում նրան փոխել, «Զվեզդա» ռադիոկայանի «Զրույց իմաստունի հետ» հաղորդման եթերում ասել է քաղաքագետ, փիլիսոփա, «Ժամանակի էություն» շարժման առաջնորդ Սերգեյ Կուրղինյանը։

Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի գործունեությունը չափազանց երկիմաստ է թվում, նա ակնհայտորեն ոչ միայն թուրքական, այլ նաև ադրբեջանական գործակալ է, նշել է քաղաքագետը։ Փաշինյանի այն հայտարարությունից հետո, որ «կա իրական Հայաստան, և կա պատմական», մենք պետք է հասկանանք, որ եթե չկա պատմական Հայաստան, ապա կլինի միայն «Օսմանյան կայսրության վիլայեթ կամ Պարսկաստանի որևէ մաս», ընդգծել է Սերգեյ Կուրղինյանը՝ ավելացնելով, որ «պարզապես ապրելու» ցանկությունը կվերածվի մահվան։

«Ես աներևակայելի դառը զգացողություն ունեմ այս ամենի վերաբերյալ՝ բազմապատկված այն փաստով, որ բացարձակապես պարզ է, որ մի կողմից՝ Հայաստանի ղեկավարությունն ինքն է հանձնվում թուրքերին, Ադրբեջանին և ուրիշներին, իսկ մյուս կողմից՝ նաև անընդհատ քծնում է Արևմուտքին։ Մի խոսքով, այնտեղ ոչինչ չկա որսալու։ Եվ քանի որ ես շատ լավ հասկանում եմ, թե ինչպես կարող են որոշ հայ առաջնորդներ կազմակերպել բաներ՝ իշխանության փոփոխության հետ կապված, երբ ինչ-որ բան նրանց կպչում է, պարզ է, որ նրանք դա չեն ուզում, և որ այդ ամենը կազմակերպվում է նաև այն ժամանակ, երբ որոշ միջազգային ուժեր դրա կարիքն են ունենում», - նշել է քաղաքագետը։ Նա նաև հավելել է, որ չնայած Հայաստանը «լիովին ջախջախվել է Փաշինյանի՝ անարժեք, զզվելի, հակահայ անձնավորության կողմից», բայց պահպանել է նրան։ «Երբ ժողովրդին դա դուր չի գալիս, նրանք գիտեն, թե ինչ անել։ Եվ նույն ղարաբաղցիները գիտեն, թե ինչ անել... Այսպիսով, այնտեղ շատ վատ իրավիճակ է», - բացատրել է քաղաքագետը։
