Ռուսաստանը կարող է հրաժարվել Ադրբեջանից ինքնաթիռներ և գնացքներ ընդունելուց, եթե ռուսական քաղաքներն «անվանափոխելու» պրակտիկան լայն տարածում գտնի հանրապետությունում։ Այս մասին RTVI-ին հայտարարել է Պետդումայի ԱՊՀ հարցերով հանձնաժողովի առաջին փոխնախագահ Կոնստանտին Զատուլինը՝ մեկնաբանելով ադրբեջանական լրատվամիջոցների արձագանքը ՏԱՍՍ-ի հոդվածում «Ստեփանակերտ» անվանման օգտագործմանը։
«Ինչ վերաբերում է ռուսական քաղաքների և աշխարհագրական հասկացությունների վերանվանմանը, որը Ադրբեջանը որոշել է իրականացնել որպես վրեժ, ես նրանց հաջողություն եմ մաղթում։ Միակ բանն այն է, որ այս իրավիճակում մենք դժվար թե կարողանանք Ադրբեջանից գնացքներ և ինքնաթիռներ ընդունել, եթե այնտեղ նպատակակետը գրված լինի այնպես, ինչպես նրանք այժմ որոշել են», - զգուշացրել է Զատուլինը։
Նա հույս հայտնեց, որ Ռուսաստանը՝ «որպես այսօրվա Ադրբեջանից ավելի մեծ պատմական արմատներ ունեցող պետություն» և որպես «ավելի հասուն հասարակություն», «հիմարություններ չի անի» և հայելային գործողություններով չի արձագանքի ադրբեջանական լրատվամիջոցներում ռուսական քաղաքների անվանափոխությանը։
Զատուլինը նշել է, որ Ստեփանակերտը միշտ էլ եղել է Ստեփանակերտ, և դրա վերանվանումը «Խանքենդի» «պատճառ չէ քննադատելու» լրատվամիջոցների հաղորդագրությունները՝ Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի Հանրապետության տարածքում Ադրբեջանի սեփական բարբարոսական գործողությունների մասին։
«Խորհրդային ժամանակներում դա Ստեփանակերտն էր 20-ական, 30-ական, 40-ական, 50-ական, 70-ական թվականներին, մինչև Խորհրդային Միության փլուզումը։ Դա Ստեփանակերտն էր՝ որպես Ադրբեջանի Հանրապետության, Ադրբեջանական ԽՍՀ-ի մաս, որի տարածքային ամբողջականությանն այժմ հավակնում է ժամանակակից Ադրբեջանը», - ընդգծել է պատգամավորը։
