Ամերիկյան Թենեսի նահանգում ոստիկանության աշխատակիցները 54-ամյա Քևին Ուեյդ Օ'Նիլի տանը հայտնաբերել են ինքնաշեն պայթուցիկ սարքերի մի ամբողջ զինանոց, հաղորդում է Sky News-ը։

Գործողությունն իրականացվել է Չաթանուգայից մոտ 70 կմ արևելք գտնվող Օլդ Ֆորտ բնակավայրում, հայտնում է Փոլկ շրջանի շերիֆի գրասենյակը։ 

Ոստիկանները Օ'Նիլի տուն են ժամանել ձերբակալման օրդերով, այն բանից հետո, երբ նա, ենթադրաբար, սպառնալիքներ է հնչեցրել իշխանության մարմինների և իրավապահների հասցեին։ 

Տղամարդուն ձերբակալել են ննջասենյակներից մեկում, սակայն սպաների ուշադրությունը գրավել է սենյակում «ինչ-որ ծխացող բան»։  Հետագա զննությամբ պարզվել է, որ դա ինքնաշեն պայթուցիկ սարք է եղել։ Տունն անմիջապես տարհանվել է, և կանչվել են սակրավորներ։ 

Ամբողջական ստուգումից հետո մասնագետները տանը հայտնաբերել են 14 ինքնաշեն պայթուցիկ սարք, որոնցից և ոչ մեկը, բարեբախտաբար, չի պայթել։ 

Քևին Օ'Նիլին ներկայացվել են ծանր մեղադրանքներ.

  • Առաջին աստիճանի սպանության փորձի 11 դրվագ, որոնք համապատասխանում են ենթադրյալ պայթեցման փորձի պահին տանը գտնվող ինը սպաներին և երկու քաղաքացիական անձանց։ 

  • Արգելված զենք պահելու 14 դրվագ։ 

  • Պայթուցիկ նյութեր պատրաստելու համար բաղադրիչներ պահելու 1 դրվագ։ 

Այժմ Օ'Նիլը գտնվում է կալանքի տակ։ Իրավապահները շարունակում են հետաքննությունը՝ պարզելու, թե արդյոք կասկածյալն ունեցել է հանցակիցներ և որքանով է նա մոտեցել իր սպառնալիքների իրականացմանը։

Ոստիկանության ներկայացուցիչներն ընդգծել են, որ օպերատիվ և համակարգված աշխատանքի շնորհիվ հաջողվել է կանխել ողբերգությունը և խուսափել մարդկային զոհերից։
