Ըստ պաշտոնյաների՝ օգոստոսի 8-ին Ադրբեջանի նախագահ Իլհամ Ալիևը և Հայաստանի վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը Սպիտակ տանը մի քանի կարևոր փաստաթուղթ կստորագրեն նախագահ Թրամփի ներկայությամբ: Այս մասին հայտնում է Kyiv Post-ը։
«Մասնավորապես, կողմերը կստորագրեն համատեղ հռչակագիր։ Դա պաշտոնապես կամրապնդի «խաղաղության կոնկրետ ուղին» և հարաբերությունների լիարժեք կարգավորումը «որքան հնարավոր է»։ Բացի այդ, Ադրբեջանի և Հայաստանի արտգործնախարարները նախաստորագրել են երկկողմ խաղաղության համաձայնագրի տեքստը, որի շուրջ բանակցություններն ընթանում են արդեն մի քանի ամիս:
Նրանք նաև կստորագրեն Մինսկի խմբից դուրս գալու մասին համատեղ նամակ։ Երկու երկրներն էլ պաշտոնապես դուրս կգան ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբից՝ միջնորդական հարթակից, որը ճանաչվել է «ոչ օգտակար» և նոր մոտեցման կարիք ունի: ԱՄՆ-ն Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի հետ առանձին փոխըմբռնման հուշագրեր կստորագրի՝ բացելով հնարավորություններ, որոնք նախկինում անհավանական էին։ Համաձայնագրերը երկարաժամկետ են և նախատեսված են ավելի քան 50 տարի ժամկետով», - հայտնել է աղբյուրը:
