Կառավարության մեր աղբյուրները փոխանցում են, որ իշխանությունները որոշում են կայացրել երկիր չթողնել աշխարհահռչակ իրավաբան, մարդու իրավուքների միջազգային պաշտպան Ռոբերտ Ամստերդամին։ Մեր տեղեկություններով, նա Հայաստան պետք է ժամանի երկուշաբթի՝ օգոստոսի 11-ին։
Հիշեցենք, որ երեկ՝ օգոստոսի 8-ին, մամուլը գրեց, որ քաղաքական հարցերով առաջին կարգի միջազգային իրավաբանի այցը հրատապ է և կապված է մի քանի աղմկահարույց գործի հետ՝ արքեպիսկոպոսների գործը, ճնշումները Հայ Առաքելական Եկեղեցու դեմ, Սամվել Կարապետյանի ապօրինի կալանքը։ Ամստերդամի այցը կոչված է որոշակի մոնիտորինգային գործառույթ իրականացնել մարդու իրավունքների և ժողովրդավարության իրական վիճակի վերաբերյալ։
Նշենք, որ փաստաբան Ամստերդամը հայտնի է տարբեր երկրներում մի շարք քաղաքական-հասարակական դեմքերի, ակտիվիստների պաշտպանության գործերով։
Թե որն է լինելու նրան Հայաստան չթողնելու հիմնավորումը, մեր աղբյուրները չեն հայտնում։ Սակայն մուտքի արգելքը կլինի շատ սկանդալային, քանի որ փաստաբանն ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի մտերիմ շրջապատից է, իսկ Փաշինյանը երեկ՝ ուրբաթ գիշերը, Վաշինգտոնում բանակցություն էր վարում Թրամփի հետ։
