Հարավային Կովկասում ճանապարհների հետ տեղի ունեցածը բոլորովին տարբերվում է նրանից, ինչ ենթադրաբար պետք է տեղի ունենար. այս մասին Tasnim գործակալության փոխանցմամբ՝ ասել է Իրանի ԱԳ նախարար Սեյյեդ Աբբաս Արաղչին՝ մեկնաբանելով  «Թրամփի ուղու» վերաբերյալ Վաշինգտոնում ձեռք բերված հայ-ադրբեջանա-ամերիկյան պայմանավորվածություններին:

«Ես չեմ ասում, որ տեղի ունեցողը մտահոգիչ չէ։ Հայ պաշտոնյաների՝ մեզ ասածների հիման վրա, այս ճանապարհը պետք է կառուցի ամերիկյան մի ընկերություն, որը կգրանցվի հայկական օրենսդրության համաձայն և կգտնվի հայկական ինքնիշխանության ներքո: Հայերը մեզ ասում են, որ նրանք դիտարկել և ուշադրություն են դարձրել Իրանի բոլոր կարմիր գծերին այս առումով», - ասել է Արաղչին։

Դիվանագետը հավելել է, որ հայ պաշտոնյաների խոսքով՝ «այնտեղ ամերիկյան ուժեր չեն տեղակայվի, և ուղու անվտանգությունը կապահովի հենց Հայաստանը»։

«Սրանք հայ պաշտոնյաների արած հայտարարություններն են, իհարկե, մենք նույնպես կձեռնարկենք անհրաժեշտ նախազգուշական միջոցները», - ընդգծել է նա։

Օգոստոսի 8-ին Վաշինգտոնում Հայաստանի, Ադբրեբաջնի և ԱՄՆ-ի ղեկավարները ստորագրել են համատեղ հռչակագիր, որի դրույթներից մեկի համաձայն՝ Հայաստանի Հանրապետության տարածքում կիրագործվի«Թրամփի ուղի՝ հանուն միջազգային խաղաղության և բարգավաճման» («Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity» (TRIPP)) նախագիծը, որն Ադրբեջանը Սյունիքի մարզով կկապի Նախիջևանին:
