Այս ամիս երկնքում հնարավոր է դիտել վեց մոլորակների միաժամանակյա ներկայությունը, որը հայտնի է որպես մոլորակային շքերթ։ Սա տարվա վերջին նման երևույթն է։ Մոլորակային շքերթները տեղի են ունենում, երբ մի քանի մոլորակ միաժամանակ համընկնում են երկնքում՝ մի գծի վրա երևալով։ Դրանք բավականին սովորական երևույթ են և գրեթե ամեն տարի հանդիպում են՝ կախված տեսանելի մոլորակների քանակից։ NASA-ի տվյալներով՝ գրեթե յուրաքանչյուր գիշեր հնարավոր է տեսնել առնվազն մեկ պայծառ մոլորակ՝ եղանակային պայմաններից կախված։ Հունվարին տեսանելի էին վեց մոլորակ, իսկ փետրվարին հնարավոր էր նկատել ամբողջ Արեգակնային համակարգի մոլորակները, թեև ոչ բոլորը՝ անզեն աչքով։ Այս ամսվա ընթացքում առանց որևէ հատուկ սարքավորումների կարելի է դիտել Վեներան, Յուպիտերը, Սատուրնը և թույլ տեսանելի Մերկուրին։ Դիտելու լավագույն ժամանակը առաջիկա շաբաթն է։ Իսկ Ուրանը և Նեպտունը հնարավոր կլինի նկատել միայն հեռադիտակով կամ աստղադիտակով: Նշենք, որ Մերկուրին իր ամենահեռավոր կետում կլինի Արեգակից այս երեքշաբթի առավոտյան, ինչը այն առավել տեսանելի կդարձնի, նախքան նորից կորչելը Արեգակի ճառագայթների մեջ։
