Իսրայելի ուժերը կիրակի օրը օդային հարվածներ են հասցրել Եմենի մայրաքաղաք Սանային, ինչի հետևանքով երկու մարդ զոհվել է, իսկ հինգը՝ վիրավորվել, հաղորդում է Middle East Eye-ը։
Իսրայելը հայտարարել է, որ հարվածները հասցվել են ռազմական համալիրին, որտեղ գտնվում է նախագահական պալատը, հրթիռային բազաներին, նավթային կայաններին և էլեկտրակայաններին։
Եմենյան Al-Masirah հեռուստաալիքը հաղորդել է, որ Իսրայելը հարվածել է նավթային ընկերության օբյեկտին Սանայի 60-րդ փողոցում, ինչպես նաև «Հազիզ» էլեկտրակայանին, որը գտնվում է քաղաքի հարավում։
Հութիների անվտանգության ծառայության աղբյուրը AFP-ին հայտնել է, որ օդային հարձակման թիրախը եղել է Սանայի կենտրոնում գտնվող քաղաքապետարանի շենքը՝ հավելելով, որ կան զոհերի մասին հաղորդումներ։
Եմենյան հութիները անօդաչու թռչող սարքեր և հրթիռներ են արձակում Իսրայելի ուղղությամբ՝ ի պատասխան նրա պատերազմի Գազայի հատվածում։ Կիրակնօրյա հարվածները տեղի են ունեցել այն օրը, երբ հութիները արձակել են բալիստիկ հրթիռ՝ մի քանի ենթապայթուցիկներով, «որոնք նախատեսված են հարվածի պահին պայթելու համար»։
Իսրայելի բանակը հայտարարել է, որ սա առաջին դեպքն է, երբ հութիները նման հրթիռ են արձակել Իսրայելի ուղղությամբ։
ՑԱՀԱԼ-ը հավելել է, որ հետաքննում է, թե ինչու հրթիռը չի խոցվել, սակայն ընդգծել է, որ խափանումը կապված չէ հրթիռի տեսակի հետ։
Օգոստոսի 17-ին Իսրայելը հարված էր հասցրել Սանայում գտնվող էներգետիկ ենթակառուցվածքի օբյեկտին։
