Իմ մասնակի ազատությունից հետո հայտարարել եմ՝ քաղաքական բանտարկյալների ազատության համար իմ ուժերի ներածին չափով պայքարը գերակա ուղղություն է: Այս մասին Միքայել Սրբազանի դատական նիստից առաջ լրագրողների հետ զրույցում ասաց ՀՀԿ փոխնախագահ Արմեն Աշոտյանը:
«Դա խղճի հարց է, որ թե քաղաքական համոզմունքի: Այստեղ եմ Միքայել Սրբազանին իմ աջակցությոսւնը հայտնելու համար: Քաղաքական բանտարկյալների առկայությունը ցանկացած երկրում այդ երկրի ու այդ ժողովրդի ամոթն է: Կրկնակի ամոթ է, որ հասարակությունն ու ժողովուրդը հավուր պատշաճի չի պայքարում այդ մարդկանց ազատության համար»,- ասաց նա:
Նա հավելեց, որ իր և Միքայել Սրբազանի միջև քաղաքական հակասություններն իր համար առ ոչինչ են այն բանի համար, որ իր եկեղեցու հոգևոր սպասավորն այսօր իր համոզմունքների համար շինծու ձևով ենթարկվում է ապօրինի հետապնդումնան և անազատության մեջ է:
«Հասարակության մեջ չկա մի շերտ, որ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը չի ստեղծել մոբիլզացվելու հնարավորություն, հանրային պայքարն այս մարդկանց ազատության համար շատ հեռու է բավարար լինելուց: Մեր բոլորի համար ամոթ է, որ այսօր պետք է Միքայել Սրբազանին տեսնենք ապակե պատի ետևում՝ ոչ մի բանի համար»,- ընդգծեց նա:
