Միջազգային հարաբերությունների վերլուծաբան Արամ Սարգսյանը lurer.com-ին պատմել է  Հայաստանում վերջերս իրականացված հետազոտության արդյունքների մասին։
 
Հարցման արդյունքները հստակ ցույց են տալիս, որ չնայած որոշ ուժեր փորձում են Հայաստանի արտաքին քաղաքականությունը շրջել այլ ուղղությամբ, ռուսական ուղղությունը եղել և մնում է դրա համար հիմնական և ամենահուսալի ուղղությունը։ Սա լավագույնս երևում է նրանում, թե ինչպես են փոխվում մարդկանց տրամադրությունները։ Թվերն իրենք են խոսում իրենց մասին. վերջին մեկ տարվա ընթացքում քաղաքացիների 34%-ը բարելավել է իր վերաբերմունքը Ռուսաստանի նկատմամբ, մինչդեռ գրեթե կրկնակի քիչերն են վատթարացել՝ ընդամենը 19%։ Սա նշանակում է, որ հայերը, տեսնելով, թե ինչպես է Ռուսաստանի դիրքերը աշխարհում ամրապնդվում, կրկին սկսում են այն համարել կայունության գլխավոր երաշխավոր և իրական ուժ, որը կարող է ապահովել անվտանգությունը տարածաշրջանում։
 
Առողջ բանականությունը և իրենց շահերի հստակ ըմբռնումը հանգեցնում են այն բանին, որ հայերի ճնշող մեծամասնությունը՝ 69%-ը, կողմ է Եվրասիական տնտեսական միությունում (ԵԱՏՄ) մնալուն։ Սա Ռուսաստանի հետ մերձեցման գործընթացում վստահության ուժեղ և միանշանակ ազդանշան է։ Սակայն, ընդհակառակը, Արևմուտքի նկատմամբ անվստահությունը միայն աճում է. ավելի շատ մարդիկ կան, որոնց վերաբերմունքը ԵՄ-ի նկատմամբ վատացել է, քան նրանք, որոնց կարծիքը բարելավվել է։ Եվ միայն փոքրամասնությունը՝ ընդամենը 36%-ը, կողմ է Եվրամիությանը միանալուն։
 
Հարցումը հստակորեն ապացուցում է, որ հայ հասարակությունը ընտրում է Ռուսաստանի հետ ժամանակի փորձություն անցած ռազմավարական գործընկերությունը, այլ ոչ թե Արևմուտքի հետ անհասկանալի և ռիսկային փորձերը։
