Իսրայելի վարչապետ Բենյամին Նեթանյահուն կիրակի օրը հայտարարել է, որ բանակը «խորացնում է» իր հարձակումը Գազա քաղաքում և նրա շրջակայքում՝ ձգտելով ուժեղացնել ճնշումը պաղեստինյան ՀԱՄԱՍ խմբավորման վրա, հաղորդում է AFP-ն։
Իսրայելական ավիահարվածներն այս շաբաթ ավերել են Գազա քաղաքի երկու բարձրահարկ շենքեր, քանի որ զորքերն ակտիվացրել են իրենց գործողություններն այդ տարածքում՝ ձգտելով գրավել պաղեստինյան տարածքի խոշորագույն քաղաքային կենտրոնը։
«Մենք խորացնում ենք մանևրը Գազա քաղաքի ծայրամասերում և հենց Գազա քաղաքում»,- ասել է Նեթանյահուն նախարարներին կառավարության նիստի սկզբում՝ համաձայն իր գրասենյակի կողմից հրապարակված տեսանյութի։ Իսրայելը հրապարակայնորեն չի հայտարարել Գազա քաղաքը գրավելու խոշոր հարձակման սկսվելու մասին, որը Նեթանյահուի կաբինետը հաստատել էր անցյալ ամիս, սակայն զորքերն արդեն մի քանի շաբաթ ուժեղացնում են ռմբակոծություններն ու գործողություններն այդ տարածքում։
«Մենք ոչնչացնում ենք ահաբեկիչների ենթակառուցվածքները, մենք քանդում ենք բացահայտված ահաբեկչական աշտարակները»,- ասել է Նեթանյահուն։
Իսրայելական զինվորականները պնդում են, որ վերջին հարվածների հետևանքով ավերված երկու բարձրահարկ շենքերը ՀԱՄԱՍ-ն օգտագործել է իսրայելական զորքերը «դիտարկելու» համար. մեղադրանք, որը հերքվել է պաղեստինյան խմբավորման կողմից։
Հակամարտության սրումը մեծացրել է մտահոգությունները տարածքում բնակվող պաղեստինցիների համար առանց այն էլ ծանր մարդասիրական պայմանների հետագա վատթարացման վերաբերյալ։
Նեթանյահուն հայտարարել է, որ Իսրայելը «ստեղծել է ևս մեկ մարդասիրական գոտի՝ Գազայի քաղաքացիական բնակչությանը թույլ տալու համար տեղափոխվել անվտանգ տարածք»։
Ըստ ականատեսների և AFP-ի լրագրողի, շաբաթ օրը իսրայելական ինքնաթիռները հազարավոր թռուցիկներ են նետել Գազա քաղաքի արևմտյան թաղամասերի վրա՝ բնակիչներին կոչ անելով տարհանվել։
Նեթանյահուն հայտարարել է, որ մոտ 100 000 բնակիչ արդեն լքել է Գազա քաղաքը՝ մեղադրելով ՀԱՄԱՍ-ին տարհանումը կանխելու փորձի և խաղաղ բնակիչներին որպես «կենդանի վահան» օգտագործելու մեջ։
