ԵՄ-ն , ամենայն հավանականությամբ, կկասեցնի Միացյալ Նահանգների հետ առևտրային համաձայնագիրը, եթե Վաշինգտոնը չկատարի իր պարտավորությունները, հայտարարել է տնտեսական հարցերով ԵՄ հանձնակատար Մարոշ Շեֆչովիչը։

«Սկայն թույլ տվեք ընդգծել, որ մեր օրինագիծը երաշխիքներ է տալիս, որ մենք կկարողանանք կասեցնել մեր սակագնային ազատականացումը՝ մասամբ կամ ամբողջությամբ, եթե Միացյալ Նահանգները չկատարի համաձայնագրի պայմանները»,- Եվրախորհրդարանում հայտարարել է Շեֆչովիչը։

Եվրահանձնաժողովի նախագահ Ուրսուլա ֆոն դեր Լայենը և ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփը հուլիսի 27-ին առևտրային համաձայնագրի են եկել, ըստ որի՝ ԵՄ-ից ԱՄՆ արտահանվող գրեթե բոլոր ապրանքները այժմ կենթարկվեն 15%-անոց սակագնային դրույքաչափերի։ Բացի դրանից, Եվրամիությունը պարտավորվել է Միացյալ Նահանգներից հեղուկացված բնական գազ, միջուկային վառելիք և զենք գնել։ Համաձայնագիրը չի ներառում պողպատի և ալյումինի նկատմամբ Միացյալ Նահանգների 50%-անոց սակագների վերացումը, սակայն հետագա բանակցությունների արդյունքում դրանք կարող են նվազեցվել։ Մասնավորապես, համաձայնագրի շրջանակում ԵՄ-ն պարտավորվել է Վաշինգտոնից գնել 750 միլիարդ դոլարի՝ տարեկան 250 միլիարդ դոլարի էներգակիրներ գնել՝ մինչև Թրամփի պաշտոնավարման ժամկետի ավարտը,  ինչպես նաև լրացուցիչ 600 միլիարդ դոլար ներդնել Ամերիկայում։
