Իսրայելի վարչապետ Բենյամին Նեթանյահուն շաբաթ օրը հայտարարել է, որ Կատարում բնակվող ՀԱՄԱՍ-ի ղեկավարներից ազատվելը կվերացնի գլխավոր խոչընդոտը՝ բոլոր պատանդների ազատման և Գազայի պատերազմը դադարեցնելու ճանապարհին։

«Կատարում բնակվող ՀԱՄԱՍ-ի ահաբեկիչ ղեկավարները թքած ունեն Գազայի բնակիչների վրա։ Նրանք արգելափակել են հրադադարի բոլոր փորձերը՝ պատերազմը անվերջ ձգձգելու նպատակով», — գրել է Նեթանյահուն «X» սոցիալական ցանցում։

Իսրայելը օդային հարվածներ է հասցրել ՀԱՄԱՍ-ի ղեկավարությանը Դոհայում, ինչը դատապարտել է Կատարը, որը հանդիսանում էր հրադադարի շուրջ բանակցությունների հարթակներից մեկը։ ՀԱՄԱՍ-ը հայտնել է, որ հարձակման հետևանքով սպանվել է հինգ անդամ, այդ թվում՝ կազմակերպության ղեկավար Խալիլ ալ-Հայայի որդին, որը գտնվում է Գազայի հատվածում՝ աքսորի մեջ։ Սակայն նրա բարձրաստիճան ղեկավարները և բանակցային խմբի անդամները ողջ են մնացել։ Կատարը հայտնել է, որ սպանվել է նաև ներքին անվտանգության ուժերի աշխատակիցը։

ՀԱՄԱՍ-ը Դոհայում տեղի ունեցած հարձակումը որակել է հրադադարի շուրջ բանակցությունները խափանելու փորձ և հայտարարել է, որ դա չի փոխի Գազայում պատերազմը դադարեցնելու վերաբերյալ խմբավորման ներկայացրած պայմանները։ Իսրայելը պահանջել է, որ ՀԱՄԱՍ-ը ազատ արձակի Գազայում պահվող բոլոր պատանդներին և զինաթափվի։ ՀԱՄԱՍ-ը հայտարարել է, որ չի ազատի բոլոր պատանդներին առանց համաձայնության, որը կդադարեցնի պատերազմը, և վայր չի դնի զենքը, քանի դեռ պաղեստինցիները չեն ստեղծել անկախ պետություն։
