Իսրայելի վարչապետ Բենյամին Նեթանյահուն հայտարարել է, որ ՄԱԿ-ի Գլխավոր ասամբլեայի առաջիկա նստաշրջանում հանդես կգա Պաղեստին պետության ստեղծման կոչերին հակազդելու ուղերձով՝ ընդգծելով, որ այդ քայլը «սպառնում է Իսրայելի գոյությանը», հաղորդում է Times of Israel-ը։
Նախարարների կաբինետի շաբաթական նիստում Նեթանյահուն նշել է․ «ՄԱԿ-ում ես կպատմեմ ճշմարտությունը։ Դա Իսրայելի ճշմարտությունն է, բայց նաև օբյեկտիվ ճշմարտություն մեր արդար պայքարի մասին ընդդեմ չարի ուժերի։ Դա մեր տեսլականն է՝ խաղաղություն՝ ուժի միջոցով»։
Նա հավելել է, որ ՄԱԿ-ում և այլ հարթակներում անհրաժեշտ է պայքարել «մեզ ուղղված սուտ քարոզչության և Պաղեստին պետության ստեղծման կոչերի դեմ, ինչը կսպառնա մեր գոյությանը և կդառնա աբսուրդային պարգև ահաբեկչության դիմաց»։
«Միջազգային հանրությունը դրա մասին կլսի մեզնից առաջիկա օրերին։ Գլխավոր ասամբլեայում իմ ելույթից հետո հանդիպում կունենամ իմ ընկերոջ՝ ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի հետ։ Սա կլինի իմ չորրորդ հանդիպումը նրա հետ՝ նրա երկրորդ նախագահական ժամկետի մեկնարկից ի վեր, ինչը ավելի շատ է, քան ցանկացած այլ համաշխարհային առաջնորդի հետ։ Եվ մենք քննարկելու շատ հարցեր ունենք»։
