Գրականության և արվեստի թանգարանում ցուցադրվում է Միջին Արևելքի արվեստը

Ե. Չարենցի անվան գրականության և արվեստի թանգարանում փետրվարի 9-ին տեղի ունեցավ «Միջին արևելքի արվեստ» ցուցահանդեսի բացման արարողությունը, որը ներկայացնում է Մարկոս Գրիգորյանի հավաքածուն: Հավաքորդն այն Հայաստանին է նվիրաբերել 1993 թվականին: Հավաքածուի ժամանակագրությունը, մշակութային բազմազանությունը պայմանավորված են հավաքորդի ճակատագրով:
Թանգարանի երեք սրահներում ներկայացված են հոգևոր, դեկորատիվ-կիրառական արվեստի նմուշներ՝ խեցեղեն, բրոնզե քանդակներ, գորգեր, մանրանկարչություն և տարազներ:
Ցուցահանդեսում ներկայացված են նաև Մարկոս Գրիգորյանի հեղինակային ստեղծագործությունները, որոնցից են հողանկարները, գորգերը: Իր խոսքում ցուցադրությունը բարձր գնահատեց նկարիչ Փարավոն Միրզոյանը:
Ցուցադրությունն ընդգրկում է հայկական, իրանական, եվրոպական հոգևոր եվ մշակութային արժեք ունեցող իրեր, որոնք թվագրվում են Ք.ա. չորրորդ հազարամյակից սկսած մինչև մեր ժամանակներով:
Ամերիկահայ նկարիչ, գորգագետ Մարկոս Գրիգորյանը ծնվել է 1925 թվականին Ռուսաստանում, այնուհետև ՝ապրել Իրանում: 1994 թ.Մարկոս Գրիգորյանին շնորհվել է Երևանի պատվավոր քաղաքացու կոչում: Նկարչի ստեղծագործությունները ներկայացված են Հռոմի, Նյու Յորքի և Թեհրանի պատկերասրահներում:
