Սեպտեմբերի 24-ին Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Գարեգին Երկրորդ Ծայրագույն Պատրիարք և Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսն ընդունեց Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածին այցելած Գերմանիայի Այխշտետ-Ինգոլշտադի կաթոլիկ համալսարանի Քրիստոնյա արևելքի աստվածաբանության ամբիոնի պրոֆեսորադասախոսական կազմին, Աստվածաբանական ֆակուլտետի ուսանողներին՝ գլխավորությամբ ամբիոնի վարիչ պրոֆեսոր Թոմաս վարդապետ Կրեմերի և Կոլլեգիում Օրիենտալեի ռեկտոր Օլեկսանդր ավագ քահանա Պետրինկոյի։
Հայր Թոմասը Ամենայն Հայոց Հայրապետին ներկայացրեց համալսարանի կրթական ծրագրերը և գործունեությունը՝ տեղեկացնելով նաև, որ Հայաստան այցի նպատակն է ծանոթանալ հայ ժողովրդի պատմությանը, հոգևոր-մշակութային արժեքներին և գիտական ոլորտում համագործակցության հեռանկարներին։
Հայոց Հովվապետը, իր օրհնությունը բերելով հյուրերին, հաստատեց, որ համալսարանի ներկայացուցիչների այցը Հայաստան և ուխտագնացությունները տարբեր սրբավայրեր առավել կնպաստեն երկրի պատմամշակութային ու հոգևոր ժառանգությանը հաղորդակից դառնալուն և հոգևոր փորձառությունը զորացնելուն։ Այս առնչությամբ Նորին Սրբությունն անդրադարձ կատարեց հայ ժողովրդի կյանքում Սուրբ Էջմիածնի առանցքային դերակատարությանը, ընդգծեց, որ քրիստոնեական հավատքը դարեր շարունակ եղել է ազգային, հոգևոր արժեքների և հայի ինքնության կերտողը։
Իր խոսքում Վեհափառ Հայրապետը գոհունակությամբ փաստեց նաև Քույր Եկեղեցիների ու միջեկեղեցական կառույցների և Հայոց Եկեղեցու միջև ձևավորված սերտ կապերի ու գործակցության մասին, ինչի շնորհիվ այսօր իրականացվում են տարբեր կրթական, սոցիալական ու մշակութային ծրագրեր:
