Սիրելի՛ Գյումրեցիներ, հարգելի՛ հյուրեր,

Այսօր մեր քաղաքի սիրտը բաբախում է այս բեմի շուրջ։ Մենք հավաքվել ենք ոչ միայն երաժշտություն լսելու, այլև մեր քաղաքի ուժը, մեր ժողովրդի համախմբվածությունը և մեր ապագայի հանդեպ հավատը վերահաստատելու համար։

Գյումրին քաղաք է, որ տեսել է ցավ և կորուստ, բայց չի ծնկել։ Քաղաք է, որին փորձել են կոտրել երկրաշարժը, աղքատությունը, անտարբերությունը։ Բայց քաղաք է նաև, որը շարունակում է ապրել, շնչել և սիրել։ Այս բեմը հենց դրա ապացույցն է՝ մենք կանգնած ենք, մենք միասին ենք, և մենք գնալու ենք առաջ։

Թող այս համերգը դառնա ոչ միայն ուրախության պահ, այլ նաև խոստում․ խոստում, որ մենք չենք թողնի Գյումրին մոռացվի, չենք թողնի, որ անտարբերությունը հաղթի։

Սիրելի՛ Գյումրեցիներ,

Մեր ճակատագիրը մեր ձեռքերում է։ Եթե մենք միասին լինենք, ոչ ոք չի կարող մեզ կոտրել։ Ուրեմն եկեք ամեն նոր օր գործենք ու պայքարենք, որ Գյումրին նորից դառնա Հայաստանի մշակութային, սպորտային, կրթական ու տուրիզմի մայրաքաղաքը։ Ես հավատում եմ, որ դա հնարավոր է։

Հանու’ն Գյումրիի, հանու´ն հայ ազգի և հանու´ն Հայաստանի Հանրապետության:

Այսօր մենք՝ որպես Հայ առաքելական եկեղեցու հետևորդներ, պարտավոր ենք հիշել ու չմոռանալ մեր Շիրակի թեմի առաջնորդ Միքայել Սրբազանի մասին, որը շինծու մեղադրանքով բանտարկված է: Միքայել Սրբազանը ֆիզիկապես մեր կողքին չէ, բայց վստահ եմ, որ իր հայրական օրհնությունը հաստատ կբերեր ու կտար իր հոտին, իր գյումրեցիներին ու վստահաբար կասեր․ «Շնորհավոր տոնդ, մեր սրտի հայրաքաղաք: Շնորհավոր տոնդ, իմ Գյումրի»:
