Վրաստանի վարչապետ Իրակլի Կոբախիձեն հոկտեմբերի 4-ին հայտարարել է, որ ԵՄ դեսպանն անձամբ պատասխանատվություն է կրում Թբիլիսիում տեղի ունեցած անկարգությունների համար․ ըստ նրա՝ եվրոպացի պաշտոնյաները աջակցել են երկրում անկարգություններ հրահրելու փորձերին։ Այս մասին գրել է քաղաքագետ Սուրեն Սուրենյանցը։
«Խոսքը վերաբերում է այն դեպքերին, երբ Վրաստանի ընդդիմությունը, դժգոհ լինելով ՏԻՄ ընտրությունների արդյունքներից, փորձել էր կազմակերպել զանգվածային բողոքի գործողություններ և փողոցային ճնշում գործադրել իշխանության վրա։ Այդ փորձերը, սակայն, ձախողվել են․ կառավարող «Վրացական երազանք» կուսակցությունը կարողացել է պահպանել իր դիրքերը, իսկ հեղափոխական սցենարը չի իրականացել։
Նույն օրը Չեխիայում խորհրդարանական ընտրություններում առաջատար դարձավ նախկին վարչապետ, եվրոսկեպտիկ- պոպուլիստ Անդրեյ Բաբիշի ANO կուսակցությունը։ Այս երկու իրադարձությունները միասին վկայում են, որ ԵՄ ներսում և նրա հարևանությամբ հասարակական տրամադրություններն էապես փոխվում են։ Գլոբալիստական գաղափարախոսության դեմ ձևավորվում է նոր ալիք՝ ազգային ինքնիշխանության, ինքնուրույն որոշումների և պահպանողական քաղաքականության օգտին։
Հայաստանի վրա այս գործընթացը կարող է ունենալ երկակի ազդեցություն․

Մյուս կողմից, Եվրոպայում աճող ավտորիտար և ազգայնական միտումները կարող են դառնալ Փաշինյանի համար «օրինակ»՝ ներքին քաղաքական վերահսկողությունը սեղմելու և ընդդիմությանը ճնշելու առումով»,-գրել է Սուրենյանցը։
