«Իմ հրաշալի ճանապարհորդությունը հավաքականի հետ տևեց գրեթե տասնհինգ տարի և ավարտվեց 2021 թվականի նոյեմբերի 14-ին Երևանում՝ Գերմանիայից 1:4 հաշվով պարտությամբ։
Մարդիկ այն ժամանակ դեռ չգիտեին, որ դա իմ վերջին խաղն էր։ Պաշտոնական հայտարարությունը հայտնվեց միայն մի քանի օր անց։
Բայց ես ինքս արդեն զգում էի, որ ժամանակն էր։ Ոչ թե որովհետև ինձ իմ տեղում չէի զգում, այլ որովհետև հասկացա՝ հենց այնտեղ եմ, որտեղ պետք է լինեի։
Ես շատ էի անհանգստանում երկրպագուների համար, ովքեր մինչ օրս գրում են ինձ ու խնդրում վերադառնալ։
Բայց ես չէի կարող և չէի էլ ուզում վերադառնալ։
Մի օր ես հրապարակայնորեն կպատմեմ՝ ինչու։
Մինչ այդ միայն կասեմ, որ հանդերձարանում երբեք չեմ վիճել խաղընկերներիս հետ, չեմ բարձրաձայնել, չեմ դրսևորել անհարգալից վերաբերմունք։
Ամեն անգամ, երբ հագնում էի Հայաստանի շապիկը, հպարտություն էի զգում»,- նշել է նա։
