Այս տարի Վարդավառը կնշվի հուլիսի 12–ին։ Հիսուս Քրիստոսի Պայծառակերպության տոնի առիթով բոլոր եկեղեցիներում կմատուցվի Սուրբ Պատարագ։ Եկեղեցականները փորձել են տոնը ջրոցիից իրական Վարդավառի վերածել, տեղափոխել այն փողոցից եկեղեցու բակ: Այս մասին այսօր լրագրողների հետ զրույցում նշեց «Ոստան» ազգագրական համույթի ղեկավար Գայանե Աբելյանը։
-Ուխտագնացություններ, ազգային երգ ու պար, խարույկների շուրջ խմբված երիտասարդներ, տոնական խաղեր, խորոված խնձորի համտեսում. հնում հենց այսպես են նշել Վարդավառը»,-պատմում է նա:
Արարատյան հայրապետական թեմի (ԱՀԹ) հետ միասին ազգագրական համույթը փորձում է վերականգնել մեր ազգային ծեսերն ու ավանդույթները։ Արդեն հասցրել են կազմակերպել Բարեկենդանի և Համբարձման տոները ։ Հիմա էլ պատրաստվում են Վարդավառի տոնակատարություններին։
Երևանի և մարզերի մի քանի եկեղեցիներում պատարագից հետո տեղի կունենան միջոցառումներ՝ հոգևոր համերգներ, ազգային երգ ու պար, ինչպես նաև հոգևորականների հետ ջրախաղ։ ԱՀԹ Սուրբ Սարգիս եկեղեցու խորհրդակատար Տեր Եսայի քահանա Արթենյանի խոսքով՝ Պայծառակերպության տոնի խորհուրդը հոգևոր վերափոխումն ու զարթոնքն է, աստվածային ներկայության բացահայտումը․
-Վարդավառի տոնի և Սուրբ Պատարագի խորհուրդները գալիս են հաստատելու այն իրողությունը, որ իզուր է, որ շատ հաճախ մենք փնտրում ենք Աստծուն մեզանից դուրս՝ երկնքում, շատ հեռու մի իրողության մեջ, մեր շուրջը գտնվող երևույթների կամ մարդկանց մեջ։ Քահանայի կարծիքով միայն իրար վրա ջուր լցնելով հնարավոր չէ Վարդավառի խորհուրդը կատարված համարել, պետք է նաև փորձել վերականգնել տոնի ավանդույթները։
-Որքան մենք այսօր խնդիր ունենք պատարագը և տոնի հոգևոր խորհուրդը մարդկանց բացատրելու և մատուցելու, նույնքան էլ խնդիր ունենք ավանդույթները ճիշտ մատուցելու և մեկնաբանելու, -նշեց նա։
