Մեծ Բրիտանիան վերացրել է Ադրբեջանի և Հայաստանի նկատմամբ զենքի էմբարգոն

Մեծ Բրիտանիան պաշտոնապես չեղարկել է 1992 թվականին ԵԱՀԿ-ի շրջանակներում Ադրբեջանի և Հայաստանի նկատմամբ սահմանված զենքի էմբարգոն։ Այս մասին ասվում է Մեծ Բրիտանիայի խորհրդարանի կայքում հրապարակված Եվրոպայի և Հյուսիսային Ամերիկայի հարցերով պետական նախարար Սթիվեն Դոութիի գրավոր հայտարարության մեջ։
Նախարարի խոսքով՝ որոշումը կայացվել է օգոստոսի 8-ին Վաշինգտոնում նախագահներ Դոնալդ Թրամփի, Իլհամ Ալիևի և Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի մասնակցությամբ կայացած եռակողմ գագաթնաժողովից հետո Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի միջև խաղաղության գործընթացում գրանցված նշանակալի առաջընթացի կապակցությամբ։
Սթիվեն Դաութին նշել է, որ Լոնդոնը բարձրացնում է երկու երկրների հետ հարաբերությունների մակարդակը՝ հասցնելով այն ռազմավարական գործընկերության՝ առևտրի, անվտանգության և պաշտպանության ոլորտներում։
«Հաշվի առնելով ձեռք բերված առաջընթացը, մենք կարծում ենք, որ 1992 թվականի ԵԱՀԿ-ի շրջանակներում սահմանված էմբարգոն այլևս արդիական չէ: Մեծ Բրիտանիան ամբողջությամբ վերացնում է Հայաստանին և Ադրբեջանին զենքի մատակարարման սահմանափակումները: Սա կնպաստի անվտանգության ոլորտում համագործակցության ամրապնդմանը և այդ երկրների ինքնիշխանության և տարածքային ամբողջականության պաշտպանությանը», - ասվում է հայտարարության մեջ:
Միևնույն ժամանակ, բրիտանական կողմը պարզաբանել է, որ զենքի արտահանման լիցենզիաները կքննարկվեն առանձին՝ հաշվի առնելով խիստ վերահսկողության չափանիշները։
